I am not much a reviewer guy , but I had to go ahead write this up. Being HH gold member,I have stayed in multiple hilton properties but this was a first of a kind. The check in as quick and efficient, got my two complimentary water bottles and made my way up to my room. I just left my... More

I chose the Hilton Garden Inn in Chelsea because of reviews on Trip Advisor and I am so glad I did. The location is perfect, no matter where in the city you are going (I worked uptown, downtown and met friends in mid town!). The room was actually spacious! I had to work on some materials while I was there,... More

There are no surprises at the HGI Chelsea. Rooms are small but functional, beds are comfortable and hot apple cider awaits you in the lobby when you come in from the cold. It's location was convenient to our interests and we had easy access to the Metro (28th & 7th) for farther away adventures. Always bring ear-plugs to NYC because... More

Had a overnight stay at this hotel and the size was moderate and cozy. It was convenient wherever I had to go, everything was walking distance about 5 minutes away. Had a king size bed with a view. It wasn't too much of a view, if you look out it's just more apartment buildings, but from afar you can see... More

The hotel rooms and amenities are fine. Clean, basic, decent value. Staff were friendly. The reason I wouldn't opt to stay here again was the location. I would prefer to stay further south by even a few blocks where Chelsea is more chic. The street the hotel is on is a bit dark and gritty.

Was taking a weekend getaway to see a show and do some shopping in New York. January proves to be the cheapest period to visit New York in terms of hotel. I researched around and for this area Hilton Garden Inn offered the best value (around $125 per night). The location is great to what I need. 5 minutes to... More

A little off the beaten path, but that only makes the hotel a bit better, as it was quite. The staff were awesome, the rooms were of decent size for a New York hotel room and clean. The luggage guy/door man (we didn't get his name, and wished we did) went out of his way to get our cabs, take us... More

This was my first stay in NY. The room was smaller than I was used to in the South, but it met all of my standards (comfortable bed, internet, etc). Staff was friendly and helpful (finding cabs when needed.)

The rooms were a nice size and the staff were friendly and helpful. The lobby is narrow and located in the flower district where the streets are narrow. I visited in a very cold snap and would imagine the scent of flowers in the spring and summer would be amazing. Breakfast costs $20 for all you can eat so if... More

I was looking for a mid-size hotel that provided breakfast and large clean rooms. For NYC the rooms were large and they were clean and new. Not sure beds were really queen size as advertised. the breakfast is not worth the extra money. The rooms have microwaves, fridges and keurig coffee makers. Can pick up an as good breakfast from... Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighborhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
