We just enjoyed another couple of nights at this hip hotel. Terrific staff, nice decor, great vibe, excellent amenities. Comfortable rooms, some with wonderful views. Excellent place to stay when in the neighborhood.

My wife and I stayed at the Bowery for 4 nights this month. The hotel is located in NOHO about a 5-10 min walk to the Village. The hotel staff were excellent! Very helpful and friendly. We had a King room which was well appointed and tastefully decorated. The hotel lobby feels like you are in a bohemian lounge room... More

Great service, such wonderful rooms with floor to ceiling windows and great décor. The lounge is fantastic and the staff always super helpful and friendly, without being over the top. Very discreet and 'in the background ready to help, but not standing out', must be in the training manual :) I like the crowd as well, very eclectic and interesting.... More

We had a truly lovely time here at this wonderful hotel. Well decorated, great views, friendly and helpful staff. The was a little wear on the furniture but all lovely and warm and welcoming. A real charmer!

This is a new hotel designed to look old. You are greeted by warm friendly staff. The check in process is efficient. The rooms are beautifully appointed with great attention to detail. (The umbrellas proved very helpful.) My room was exceptionally quiet and the bed and linens very comfortable. (Another individual in our party complained of hall noises--many of the... More

The Bowery is a magical place. The style and decor evoke a feeling unlike anywhere I've stayed. But that's not the only thing that makes it special. This hotel could be oozing attitude and snobbery, but it doesn't. The staff is warm, genuine, and welcoming. In short, they have the Hospitality Gene. I'm not sure how they manage to pull... More

The Bowery is an excellent hotel--excellent amenities, great location, and well run. I plan to return soon. The central thing that sets this hotel apart is service. It's a beautiful facility, but its the people that make it special. From the front desk staff, to the cleaning staff, and the doorman, I felt genuinely cared for and cared about. The... More

I just returned from my first trip to New York City. I stayed at The Bowery Hotel in Lower Manhattan and it was fabulous. I appreciated the central location of this hotel and it certainly has an interesting history. The staff was warm and inviting, willing to accommodate special requests with a smile. The views from the upper floors are... More

Just got back to Uk from a 4 night stay in NYC. Stayed at the Bowery for 3 nights and it was amazing. \the staff were super - great recommendations for meals and places to go, didn't mind changing reservations a fewtimes because of the snow. The hotel is in the neatest part of the city and you can walk... More

I had read about the amazing lobby with a fireplace and decided to take my wife here for a drink before having brunch at Gemma for our anniversary weekend earlier this month. Our experience started off on a good note-we were seated near the back of the room at a cozy couch. Everything went South from that point on. The... More

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
