We arrived around midnight after a long flight. The team on the desk were SO friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was very comfortable and the location was a pleasant walk to World Trade Centre south and SoHo to the north as well as being on the A, C, E line to get uptown. Could not fault it and would... More

425 DOLLARS FOR THE WORST HOTEL OF MY LIFE. BAD DIRTY NOISY AND NOT HONEST. Sended there from another hotel of the chain for problems with my reservation. Said to me i have to buy the same rate of the other but not true, at the front desk a rude doorman said he didn't know anything about that. Poor room... More

For my needs this hotel has a perfect location and is easy walking distance from many subway lines particularly close to the 1 train. Close to Soho shopping, Ground Zero etc. The room was decent size by New York standards and the beds are very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and there if you need anything. There is a... Great experience at the hotel. If you are not familiar with the area and are riding in a taxi, you need to be specific that you are going got Hilton Garden Inn in TRIBECA. Don't give them the address because they won't know where this is. Other than that, great hotel stay. Clean and located close to World Trade Center... More

I checked in on 5/17/15. I was checked in promptly to room 409 or was it 419? anyway, the room is on the "cozy" side but I guess that's normal for new York. The room looks recently renovated and it was quiet. the staff were great with directions and places to go. location can't be beat, the ABC subway station... More

Stayed here on business trip end Of May. Friend of mine had stayed previous to my trip and advised to stay elsewhere but I found it to be fine. I asked for a room towards the back as reviews on TA was that it can be noisy at the front, desk clerk was very accommodating and put me in a... More

My daughter wanted to go to Manhatten for her 13th birthday. While I was planning the trip I never dreamed I would find a reasonable hotel right in the city. Typically we stay in Connecticut and drive in. But I thought it would be lovely to wake up in the City, so I decided to research Manhatten hotels. When I... More

The location is nice -- walking distrance to Soho, Tribeca, Village area and lots of good restaurants and shops. The room was fairly large by NY standards and very clean ..although the bathroom wallpaper was peeling. There is no way to control the fan on the AC so it just blows. So its either on at high speed or off.... More

I booked 2 rooms at the HGI New York/Tribeca for 4 nights, traveling with friends. We wanted a hotel in close proximity to Soho shopping, away from the hustle of midtown, but also public transit so we could navigate Manhattan easily. Perfect hotel for this.... with the subway being located literally 10 steps away from the hotel entrance. The rooms... More

We were pleased with our stay at the Hilton Garden Inn New York / Tribeca. Arriving at around 1:30 p.m., we expected to simply drop our bags and head out to explore the city, but the friendly concierge was happy to let us know our room was actually ready. A great first impression. We were cheeky enough to request a... More

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighborhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
