My friend and I shared a double room on an upper floor - two very comfy double beds with a very adequate en suite bathroom which included a full bath during our recent three night stay in this well positioned hotel. Being close to the Penn Train Station next to Madison Square Garden itself meant there is an easy and... More

I would recommend this. We took the train in from Bflo, NY and it was walking distance to the hotel. Very convenient, but very small room for a family of 4. The staff was excellent. The breakfast was really good. We walked everywhere from the hotel. It was clean.

Great location only two blocks from Madison Square Garden/Penn Station. Easy quick check in, very nice, clean, comfortable room. Great breakfast included. Had zero issues with this hotel. Defiantly would stay here again.

Stayed here for one night for work. It was chosen for me, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Front desk was VERY friendly both in PM during check in and during check out. My room was all the way down the hall on the 2nd floor and was quiet, even though close to street level. Room - easy temperature... More

This hotel is in a great location and is great value for New York. Flew into Newark airport and caught the direct train to Penn St station which is about 5 to 10mins walk away. Room was clean and of a reasonable size. At the end of the day we only used the room to sleep in as we were... More

Booked the hotel based on good reviews. It ended up very disappointing. Pros: 1) location, 2) simple but sufficient breakfast. Cons 1) noisy room next to the stairs, air fan constantly running 24 hours a day, talked to the front desk but they couldn't solve the problem. 2) need a small fridge in the room to keep the meds cold,... The location is really good. Just about 15 min to the Times Square and Grand Central. We were 3 people together in one room and it was very less space. With 3 suitcases and bags (of course) it was always hard! Breakfast and support was OK!

Although this is difficult to find at first (there are SO many Holiday Inn Express sites nearby), the hotel is modern and clean, the comfortable beds also have a pillow selection for every firmness, and the room is adequate in size. My only beef is that if you are in the bathroom with the door open, you have to step... More

Finding value in lodging in New York City can be difficult. It seems the inexpensive places tend to have issues and the great places are very pricey. This Holiday Inn Express was right down the middle. It was just 2 blocks from Penn Station and Madison Square Garden, it was clean, the rooms were well kept, everyting worked, the breakfast... More

I checked in on 18 May for a night and stayed in room 312. Rate was $289 which is a little high but for NYC in May probably average. The People at the front desk were helpful and friendly but and when I came into the room it seemed okay. However I woke up in the middle of the night... More
