This was my fourth visit to NYC and previously staying in hotels in or very close to Times Square I was a little apprehensive about staying a bit further out. However, I was not disappointed by this hotels location!! It's next to Madison Square Garden (hence the name) so perfect if you're attending an event and very close to the... More

Hotel was in a good location - Madison Square Garden is a block away. Also, walking distance to Time Square (about a mile away) , Starbucks is near along with some good places to eat and Empire State Building is within walking distance. We were able to walk to a location to catch a bus tour. The hotel & room... More

We stayed here for two nights as part of a quick visit to New York. The location is good in terms of the subway/trains/city etc but a couple of pet hates of mine happened. Firstly, the bathroom wasn't clean - I don't appreciate other people's hairs being left all over the bath and having to clean/wash it before we use... More

Stayed for 3 nights at the beginning of April, the rooms were a little on the small side but apart from that I had a comfy few nights. Iron/ironing board, hairdryer and safe in the rooms. We were lucky as had a view of the top of the Empire State Building (10th Floor front of hotel) Two blocks from Madison... More

My daughter and I stayed here for a quick 2 night/1 & 1/2 day NYC visit. We liked the location, as it was a short walk to our destination; however, the street the hotel is on is a bit dark and lonely at night, and the hotel did not have a door man. The king bed room was so small... More

Stayed here for 2 nights. Room was great and breakfast was ok (satisfying, despite limited choices). Had a little trouble during check-in as I booked via Agoda which mentioned that no print-out was needed of the coupon was needed. I showed the coupon via my tablet but was required to produce a printout. Also, I was mainly using cash and... More

Stayed here for six nights in April! Location great - stayed in NYC many times and many places! Great food choices, amenities nearby! Staff were ok, sorry to generalise but I always find New York a little frosty compared to other parts of USA! Breakfast is an awful experience and really needs addressing - its the most stressful experience die... More

We stayed here for he Easter break, we had a king room, always kept wonderfully! This hotel offers so many facilities at a great price. The staff is extremely friendly and always accommodating: there is no request we've been disappointed with, they always delivered amazing service. The room was big enough and clean. Only the wardrobe was too small for... More

Stayed here for a recent 5 day visit to NYC. We had been to New York about 18 months back and had seen this Holiday Inn and thought it looked ok, and a place to stay in the future. Glad we did! Excellent location within in minutes of Penn Street Station and MSG. Staff on main desk efficent if slightly... More

Beautiful lobby with the old world ceiling like we sayed in Europe. Rooms were clean and the bed worked out fine. It was a little warm with the old radiators well hidden from view but then again NYC was cold as hell for April.
