The hotel is not inexpensive and we were expecting more that a nice room. The location was the attraction as we wanted to shop and see a show. The room was attractive and comfortable, but for the $$, one would expect something special. It is a very impersonal hotel; no special greeting, no greeting, really. The NYT was never delivered,... This is a wonderful Hotel in a great location. The rooms are some of the largest I've seen in NYC and the service was fantastic. Just a few minute walk to Central park and Times Square. I would definitely stay again.

After a recommendation from friends we decided the London was the one. Priced at nearly $714 per night for a 1 week stay we thought its pretty much guaranteed to wean out the rif raf.... However we were so wrong! We had a pleasant stay for the 1st & 2nd trimester of the stay however the 3rd was a disaster...... More

I was very disappointed by this hotel, the room was dingy and the furniture all scuffed, sofa had many stains really terrible to charge so much money and not keeping the rooms up There is nothing I found comfortable about the hotel, the location was ok for us because we had business in the area I was never addressed by... The rooms, I believe, are all suites and the one we had was spacious and well appointed with a small dressing area and a reasonable bathroom. Our room was clean and appeared to be well looked after and the bed was comfortable. The location of this hotel is good for Midtown and the usual tourist attractions and isn't too noisy.... More

Hoping that 20 minute wait in the dark, cramped, unadorned lobby at check-in would be be worth it, we were further disappointed by the room. Despite being "non-smoking" the room smelled like a cigar den, also there were cigarette burn marks on the table. Upon entering room someone forgot the final check as trash scraps (bottle cap and shoe liner)... More

The London is located centrally for our interest in New York City. Walking distance to shopping on 6th Ave, Broadway Shows, restaurants (both fine dining and drop in for a drink and snack), Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Carnegie Hall is around the corner and you can go for a longer stroll to Grand Central Terminal or Times Square. Transportation from... More

Conveniently located for theatre and shopping. The lobby had NO place to sit combined with the cold air entering made it extremely uncomfortable. Dining off the lobby had the ambiance and sound level of a diner . Food was equally unappealing. Breakfast buffer included was worthy of a marriot with runny scrambled eggs. Coffee was equally bad. But they did... More

I just adore The London Hotel NYC! I love running in Central Park when I am in NY. The London has a great location for that! Every morning we ran the park and walked home grabbing a coffee along the way. I have stayed at this hotel 3 times and have loved it every time. All the rooms are suites,... More

I have stayed many times at this wonderful hotel, and will not stay any where else. It is away from the craziness and out of control time square area, but close enough to great restaurants and the theater district if need be. This hotel is immaculate and the staff so helpful and pleasant. you wont be disappointed!!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
