I really wanted to love this hotel. The staff are friendly and very welcoming and the room just feels nice. The mattress was a bit saggy. The biggest problems was that the noise level was just baaad. I wish I'd realized and turned on my noise blocking app, but I didn't. The street noise starts about 4 am, and you... More

We came to this hotel through a random TA search and it absolutely made the trip. Our service was bar none and the cleanliness was absurd. After many stays through the big hotel chains in Manhattan, we have come to expect that we are just not going to be treated with the personalized service we are used to in small... More

Duane Street Hotel delivers on all cylinders. Distinguished service in an unpretentious atmosphere, great location, relaxed comfortable atmosphere and sincere, caring and knowledgeable staff. My room was clean, spacious, comfortable and very well appointed. Huge bathroom, tasteful décor throughout the suite and overall distinctive. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a relaxed and hassle free hotel experience that... More

I enjoyed my stay here. Luxury bed linens, luxury toiletries, very clean and comfortable, modern design, mini book library in the room, very pleasant and helpful staff. Yes, rooms are small, but one has everything they might need. Great value.

I stayed one night but the service was wonderful and I slept like I have not slept in years! The beds are so comfortable. My 18 year old daughter thought it was cool and trendy. We loved the shopping and hit some great restaurants. I will be back!

This was the 1st time at this small modern hotel. I am in the hospitality field myself, 5star company, where service is the most important! I received excellent service here, Melissa and the others went out of their way, it wasn't just me, I witnessed others guests having their concerns met. Room small, but ok, used to that when I... Thank you Tvltime! We sincerely appreciate your comments about our staff, service and location. It's especially rewarding when someone in the hospitality business take the time to complement one of their own. Regrettably, our hallways and construction have made it very difficult for us to house ice machines on the guest floors. So we have to be more communicative about... More

We initially booked our stay at the Duane Street Hotel because we thought staying in Tribeca would be different from our usual UES location, and would be close to places we needed to go during our short stay. I wanted our family of 4 to have enough room so I reserved two rooms - a suite with adjacent room (adjoining,... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to review your experience at Duane Street Hotel. I certainly apologize for the miscommunication of your need for for adjoining rooms. We do indeed have a suite and guestroom that are adjoined by a common door. I sincerely regret that the former reservation agent was unable to articulate the rooms that need... More

We tried this hotel due to a Hotel Tonight deal. Our family of four stayed 2 nights. The room was clean and cozy. We loved the decor and the simply touches to make your stay comfortable - in room books, Keurig, robes, and l'occitane products. The beds were extremely comfortable. The bathroom could have been cleaner (mainly the walls). What... More

Thanks for the 5 star Review Travel Mom! We're really pleased to learn of how comfortable your family was. Thanks for mentioning Melissa and Nina. We're very proud of our team members. Stayed for a few nights, already a new yorker but had a mini staycation, as melissa, at the front desk called it! It was a great stay among other hotels when I called the front desk or was called from the front desk I was greeted with a friendly voice! Something I wasn't use to but welcomed as a nice... More

Thanks Jeanette! We really appreciate the 5 star review! Tribeca is great for a Staycation; as it is far removed from the hustle in midtown, close to the Hudson River Park, the Brooklyn Bridge and the Dining choices are second to none. I'm so happy to hear of the assistance that Melissa and the rest of the staff provided you... More

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighborhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
