Good value for NYC. Small, customer friendly boutique hotel well located near theaters and restaurants. Rooms are small but adequate and nicely furnished; bathrooms are also on the small side but with fluffy towels and a good selection of complimentary products.

A minute from the Times Square, but on the reasonably quiet street. Great location if you go to the late show and want to go to bed right after. :) Rooms are not large, but very clean and nice. The beds are comfortable. The staff is VERY friendly and knowledgeable. We stayed with my daughter for just one night, but... More

MELA Times square is a clean place but nothing more so it's easy to find a better place to enjoy NYC. We had a tiny 8 floor bedroom on a noisy backyard due to airconditionning machinery, the lobby is far too small to accomodate a group of US tourists and the staff gives different answers to your questions depending on... The hotel is fine. Don't expect great service, just think of it as somewhere where you can dump your bags in a very good location. I guess value for money is OK given how expensive NY is. If I was paying that much anywhere else in the world I would say that it is bad value for money...

Loved our five night stay at Hotel Mela. Rooms are European size (e.g. small) but comfortable, modern, and about the cleanest I've ever been in. From front desk to housekeeping, to a person they were all friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. And the location was fabulous! A block off Time Square, and surrounded by theaters... I found Hotel Mela by chance, just making a last minute reservation before one of my regular trips to NYC. The place is cool, fresh, neat, modern and well accessorized with everything you might need. It was just very busy... with people waiting in the hall. But everything was smooth. Love it and will go there again. A perfect place... More

A frequent traveler to NYC, I hadn't stayed in Midtown or the TS area in decades due to crowds, annoying tourists, & either tiny, icky rooms or over-priced institutional rooms. But we wanted this theatre-oriented trip to be easy and restful. Mission Accomplished with Hotel Mela. This boutique hotel couldn't be better located. The room isn't huge, but it's larger... More

Shockingly good experience for the price. I live in the suburbs and work in the city, but treated myself to a hotel room so I could see a show and not have to scramble to get back home. The employees were friendly and efficient, the room was bigger than I thought it would be, and the bathroom was spacious and... More

We stayed 3 nights in mid-March 2014. The location is perfect, just off Times Square. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and have nice comfy King size beds. Rooms are not massive but bigger than average given the central location. But dont expect much of a view from the window. Wifi seemed to work on all floors which is a good... More

My mother and I stayed here back in October for two nights as part of my 21st birthday road trip. We arrived in the city very early (5 am, to make a show taping) and had our luggage stored. The staff was nothing but courteous. However, when we went to the bathroom (on another floor), it was messy and there... More
