The hotel is just okay but the worst is the staff at the reception. They are not at all helpful and kind of arrogant too. Example - For an urgent 1 page printout they routed me all through the Hotel and at the end i had to pay 8-10 dollars for a print out . Its not the money ,... More

Greetings Kohsheen, Thanks so much for filling out a survey on your recent stay at Mela. We read and review each one and share it with the entire staff to ensure we correct any issues immediately. I’m so very sorry about the front desk service you received; this is completely and totally unacceptable for us. This is something we pride... More

Greetings Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time out of your day to write a candid review on your experience at the Mela. I must say that we at the Hotel are all dismayed at the incident on that early Sunday morning. We are strictly known for being a business traveler friendly hotel as well as a family/couple hotel.... Stayed 2 nights during a business trip to NY. The location is perfect for the Times Square area without having to fight the crowds. I rolled in around 11 pm, exhausted, and was delighted that my check in was quick and friendly. Room size is typical for NYC - cozy but not a broom closet. Furnishings were in good shape... More

We spent 6 nights at the hotel and was very pleasant. The hotel is small, but very close to Times Square and the major metro stations. The room we stayed in the 8th floor was small, but we don’t need more for NYC. We stayed in a room facing the street and also, it was quiet. The bathroom was not... More

My wife and I just ended our stay at Hotel Mela, and we were very pleased. We checked in around 4pm, our room was ready, and our call ahead request to upgrade from queen deluxe to king deluxe room was granted. Our room was perfect and plenty big. The GM, Nick, and the staff did an excellent job! Little things... More

Lovely hotel and great location in the heart of Times Square. front desk staff JoJo & Roger were brilliant and very attentive. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation in this area.

My sister and I are "senior travelers" and stayed here last week for four nights. We had read the reviews of the hotel on TA and were impressed. We were not disappointed. Our room had twin beds and was on the 3rd floor. It seemed to have been renovated not too long ago and was extremely modern and clean. It... More

There hotel is clean and modern, will a small gym and free wi-fi. All sounds OK. But as other people have noted the walls are very thin, so you hear everything that happens in the rooms around you. So when a couple come home from drinking at 1 am you hear them shuffling down the corridor and fumbling with their... More

My wife and I spent three nights at the Hotel Mela this past weekend. As with our first visit, we were impressed with the friendly staff (especially JoJo in the lobby area), the nice, quiet room (we booked an Executive King, including breakfast) and the wonderful location-close walking distance to many places we visited as well as subway stops. The... More
