This just fitter our need just fine. It's location was spot on. The room could have been a bit bigger but to be honest if you're just using it to sleep and shower it's adequate. The staff were helpful. The only downfall was that they charge you if they feel you have moved/touched their snacks. We didn't consume any.. On... More

I booked this hotel and trip to NYC as a surprise for my husbands 30th birthday and we had an amazing time. The staff were very helpful, with John emailing me details of how to book the trips before we arrived, the staff at the front desk phoning a dinner reservation for me, advising us on the best places to... Very well located, just a few steps from Times Square and theaters. Good sized and very clean bedrooms. Certa clean bathrooms too with great spa products for your care. Friendly staff will help you with all you inquiries and offer to keep your bags if you get there before check-in time and after you checked out. Def going back next... More

We really got lucky. We used Priceline to find a hotel in the theater district and got Hotel Mela. Very helpful staff throughout our stay. Very quiet with small but speedy elevators. The main draw is the location. Turn left out the front door and you are a half a block from Times Square. The staff gave us a map... More

We've stayed at this hotel several times, and it's always a pleasure. The concierge, John Paul Palace, recognized us as soon as we walked in and was as friendly and helpful as always. He took excellent care of us, making sure we had a great room and everything we needed to be comfortable. The hotel itself is in a really... More

The entire staff, and especially Arturo and Gloria, are AWESOME -- I really cannot say enough about them. I made a mistake on my reservation and they made it right without making any fuss or making me feel badly about the problem. I am grateful for their sincere hospitality and I will be back - great experience and perfect location.

It's been said before but the location of this place is second to none. Time Square on one side, Bryant Park on the other and a casual walk to Central Park... it doesn't get much better than that especially for the price! The staff is always super polite and helpful (JP Palace sets the concierge bar fairly high). The rooms... More

Good apple smell at the entrance. Nice and quite spacious rooms. Good beauty items: body creams, shampoos,... (big size). Modern forniture. Quiet rooms. Very close to Times Square, but in a very quiet Street.

Location is fantastic, within a minute of walk you will be at times square. Rooms are small, so are the washrooms. Not enuf natural light in rooms. But frontdesk and entire staff is nice. Worth staying.

The front desk thought I was another customer, and he gave me the wrong invoice to sign. Luckily I opened my eyes and told him that was not mine! It is just a boutique hotel for me. The elevator, room and bed are so tiny! So room rate is pricey from my point of view. They don't need to put... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
