My two sons and I met my husband in NYC while he was at a business conference (in the hotel). Our room comfortably accomodated the 4 of us, and we had a terrific view of Radio City Music Hall from our window! We were just a few short blocks from Times Square, and the subway options nearby were many -... More

Hilton is a name you think you can trust but the value and standard of the Hilton on the Avenue of Americas just leaves you disappointed. The walls are paper thin, the lifts were ALWAYS out of order and the to the front desk, you were just another number. I got stuck in the lift here for approximately 80 minutes... More

We love this Hilton! Have stayed there several times in the past 6 years. I think most recent was October 2010, but we are planning to go again in a few months. It is maintained well and the location is perfect. We like to do the theatre and museums and all of the great things that are available in NYC.... More

My sister and I stayed at the Hilton New York (Avenue of the America's) during Hurricane Irene. We arrived Friday afternoon and stayed until Monday night. We're glad we stayed at the Hilton New York. Despite the fact that almost everything in NYC closed down on Saturday and Sunday, the Hilton New York made tremendous efforts to keep us informed... More

I visited New York with my family this summer and stayed at the Hilton on 6th Avenue. The location is great because its minutes from Central Park (for the kids), 5th Avenue for shopping and close to other attractions like Times square etc. The staff were very polite and the rooms spacious enough for four of us.

The Hilton New York is in a perfect, central location. It is blocks from Central Park, the Theater District, delicious restaurants, subway stations, and great shopping. The one downfall is that it's ALWAYS busy - the lobby is always bustling with people and the taxi whistle is always blowing. Besides that, this hotel would be perfect. The rooms are decently... Having booked the Hilton in the centre of New York and expected to be impressed, we were disappointed from the beginning. It is a large hotel and the staff lacked that personal feeling, they appeared to us as employees who had to go to work and get paid at the end of the week. There was not extra effort given.... More

I stayed at the Hilton New York during Hurricane Irene. I have stayed at this property several times before, but this time I was particularly impressed with their efforts to keep guests informed, comfortable and calm. Notices were sent around to every room, telling us of expected interruptions in services due to decreased staff and food and beverage options for... More

We stayed at this Hilton 18th and 19th August 2011. I would highly recommend paying a few extra dollars and get an executive room floor, which guarantees being on a high floor. We booked this well in advance and the hotel offered us a further upgrade for a small fee. We stayed on the 44th floor, couldn't hear any traffic... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
