This is the second time we stayed at this hotel. This time the room we received was terrible. It was located on the third floor facing Rockefellow Center. The noise from the street was constant. It almost seemed like the windows were open...it was so loud. The view was ok but the windows were extremely dirty. The furniture in the... More

The location is great - it really is opposite the Rockefeller Center, close to the sightseeing, shopping and eating areas, subway stops, etc. Other than that, the hotel is really average. Really small rooms. Doors aren't really soundproof - we could hear people talking in the hallway late at night. The housekeeping wasn't quite on top of things: there were... More

This is a difficult review - the hotel is perfectly located and for me I could walk to work and to yoga and I could walk out the hotel and within minutes was in central park. I stayed for 2 days and then had to travel and then came back for another 2 days and my second room was fantastic... More

Check in process a little crazy, partly due to small lobby. But everyone very pleasant, so not a big deal. Great restaurant location. Hallway noise--door soundproofing not good. Quick response to A/C problem.

The lobby was filled with flight attendants and pilots upon check in. It was so hot and no place to put my stuff, while I waited. Finally got to room and it was HOT. The AC didn't work. It took 4 calls to the front desk (and 4 hours of valuable time) to get the engineer to come to my... More

I was at a conference held in the hotel over 4 days. Initial impressions were not that great as the lobby is small and undistinguished. The building is narrow but tall (27 floors, with only 8 rooms on my floor), and it took a while to realise that the heart or core of the hotel is the pleasant 7th floor... More

The hotel is in a great location, close to shopping, parks and historical sites and busnesses. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and go out of the way to help. The food is good with a variety of cuisine. The only drawback was the gym...few machines and a bit cramped..

We stayed here for a weekend and I knew the room would be small, but it was perfectly adequate, clean and well equipped. I loved having bottled water and wifi for free, and the wifi speed was pretty good too. The Terrace Lounge is open from about 7 am to 10 pm. The first evening we just had a drink... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
