I was looking for a hotel which is close to major attractions in New York because it was my first trip to NYC. My budget was also not very high as I was traveling alone. I found this hotel to be fitting on both criteria. I booked through booking.com and got a good deal. I found the hotel at better... More

This was our 1st trip to Manhattan. We had just enough time to fly from LA to NY, squeeze in a Broadway Musical and fly back, then jump in the car and do an eleven hour drive from LA in southern CA to Santa Rosa in Northern CA (CA is a really "long" state) for work, right? Nope, didn't happen!... More

I had a last minute event and decided to spend the night in Manhattan. I saw a low price here so I took it. In full and fair disclosure I have stayed here before so I knew some of its issues, but what's the old saying, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me! The location... More

You couldn't really ask for a better location as it is right near Times Square on 5th Avenue. Free wi-fi was fast and with a strong signal but it did go down one evening and was not restored until the next ming. Breakfast was good- fresh pancakes, cinnamon pastries and bagels. The breakfast area in the lobby is very crowded... More

Enjoyed staying here. Great location, clean, comfortable, fast and free wifi and nice included breakfast. Good value for money. I personally would return again and recommend to anyone. Only negatives were lack of seating in the breakfast area and the occasional unfriendly staff.

The location of the hotel was really good, 10 mins walk from Times Square, Broadway, UN, Empire State Building. Room were of ok size, only problem was with the sound proofing. One can clearly hear anything and everything happening in the corridors which resulted in poor sleep. Breakfast was good, but gets crowded, if you are late. Staff was very... More

As per the title! Great location for Times Square and general tourist activity. The rooms are compact, but you don't go to NYC to spend all day in your room. Clean and tidy, bit of noise at night but it is on 45th and 5th! Free wifi is a bonus. Breakfast is a bit of a free for all scramble,... More

Although this hotel is squeezed in a block full of cafes and bars and is a little dated it is perfect for a long weekend shopping trip. It's location is perfect just off fifth avenue but close to Times Square and the free breakfast was such a bonus. Staff were helpful and if you ignore the decor for a trip... More

Good things: - location - breakfast was included - free wi-fi - the hotel is located close to Time Square so it is pretty noisy around, however we had a room on the 20th floor and didn't hear a lot of noise - friendly stuff - close to main attractions Minuses: - If you travel not as a couple, but... Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
