My mum and I stayed here for 5 nights from 4 through 10 April 2015. This hotel could not be any better located for Times Sq, Rockefeller Centre, 5th Avenue, Tiffany, Central Park etc. Rooms are very comfortable - yeah, they're small, but if, like us, you are up and out from 08:00 through 22:00, it does not matter. Rooms... More

Economy option for staying in center of universe. This hotel is very continently located. Walking distance to many attractions. Clean room even it is small, flat tv, free wifi, great helpful staff. Free breakfast is really a plus. Parking could be found next door. Good to stay for short visit. The lobby is tiny, elevator is small, but everything else... More

The hotel is a close, convenient walk to Times Square. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. While the rooms are very small and there were stains on the carpeting, the beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. About the only thing decent for breakfast was instant oatmeal, cold cereal, muffins and fruit. If you don't get... More

We chose this hotel for a 2-night weekend stay because it was centrally located and within walking distance from Grand Central. However, some of the issues others have mentioned were certainly accurate. The facility is extremely narrow to the point that it feels like it was built in a former alley. There is a very small front desk on the... More

Thank you for your comment. Please accept our apologies regarding the elevator. We did a day where our elevator was out of order and because our guests security comes first, we placed it out of order to ensure it was fully functional. We are glad to report it is in perfect working order again. We hope we can have you... More

Previous review mentioned elevator problem. Checked in Sunday and housekeeping was tying up the only elevator. Five people let the first wait go by but when the second still had the elevator full of linen the quest took over. We physically removed the bags of linen from the elevator. 5 stars you say? After that everything was perfect- they fixed... More

The hotel location is fantastic! You are very well situated for easy walking to/from Grand Central, American Girl, Time Square, Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, and Restaurant Row. You will have quite a walk to Central Park, Metropolitan, American Museum of Natural History, or Intrepid Museum (though we did make that long walk to/from) so a taxi ride is better... More

Having just returned from a lovely break in New York; We stayed here for 4 nights, arriving on Sunday afternoon 29/3, the receptionist, Yunilda, was very welcoming and helpful, providing us with a map of NY and directions to Top of the Rock. Our room was lovely and clean and cleaned daily to a high standard. Plenty of hot water... More

Best attribute is just 6 rooms per floor which makes it very quiet. Yes, rooms small, but who stays in a room when in NYC. I loved the bed. Great sleep! The free breakfast was excellent. It was crowded and as it was cold best to sit in rear but had eggs, meat, all sorts of cereal and a cool... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
