You shouldn’t expect great hotel and best quality with such prices. It’s “managing your expectations”… The location is great, having subway station 200 meters nearby. I’ve been there in April and didn’t see any insects (perhaps it wasn’t warm enough at the time). I had a single room and found enough space, I spent all the time sightseeing and not... more

If you're staying for at least a week and don't mind the absence of bellman, bar, and dining room, you can't go wrong at the Imperial Court on West 79th. It's located one and a half avenue blocks from the subway and two doors from Riverside Park (jogging). My clean, quiet corner room had daily maid service and was furnished... more

The hotel is nice and tidy, the location is wonderful, so close to Broadway, Central Park and the Natural History Museum, within walking distance (at least we walked) from the Museum Mile, Times Square and Harlem. Our room was quite small, and it might have needed some little works; still it was clean and cozy. The staff was always helpful... more

I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks over new year into January, everyone was so helpful and chatty at the desk. We had a small issue the second day with a cockroach in the bathroom but dont be put off because these bugs are everywhere in the city and its one of the things you would expect if your... more

This is most terrible hotel I ever stayed. First, the front desk was always in a bad mood and they treat you the same way. Second, the hotel was too old...the walls, the carpet, the elevator appeared to be of the last century. Third, the room smells bad...the mattress was too soft....i left the hotel with a problem in my... more

I had booked a room for 16 days, but left after three days because the room and service were terrible. The room was tiny, the TV was broken and the people at the front desk were rude and unhelpful. This place is a dump! more

Dingy, dirty, tiny rooms with peeling paint on the walls and cockroaches inhabiting the bathroom. Water ranged from tepid to freezing and I had to ask to see 7 different rooms on arrival before I saw one that was just about bearable. That one still had cockroaches in the bathroom when I returned in the evening. Avoid this hotel at... more

I stayed at the hotel with my daughter and must say that my experience was all in all ver much positive, despite all the bad reviews I read prior to our trip to NYC. The room was clean and big enough, with a spacy closet for all the shopping we did,an iron / ironing board, a safe (no extra charge),... more

My husband and I stayed here for a week at the end of April. We had spent a good month looking for hotels online, we wanted a room with private bath/shower in a decent location but didnt want to spend a fortune as we planned to be off exploring for much of the day and night. These seem like realistic... more

This hotel was terrible. Rooms were TINY, hallways were dingy and just generally in rough shape. A person could literally not sit on the toliet because the sink was too close. Shower stalls were small but bearable. The shower water though went from freezing to scalding w/ no warning. Rates are super cheap for NYC though but unless you're traveling... more
