We stayed here for three nights when our daughter got married in Long Island City on 5/9/2015. Along with the couple, the bridal party, and many out-of-town guests, we occupied 18 rooms. While the cozy ones were, indeed, "cozy," our junior suite was roomy and the bridal suite was gorgeous! We were greeted outside by Daniel, who unpacked our very... More

Considering the thousands of options in NYC, forget about this one. From the check in until the time I left the whole experience was pretty sad. The guy who checked me in couldn't even look at my face. He just said he couldn't find my reservation, downgraded me and was rolling eyes all the time as I talked to him.... More

My fiancé and I stayed here in late april for 3 nights and the experience was pretty good. The location is excellent. Just a few blocks south of the park and well within walking distance of Times Square and Rockafellar center. The neighborhood is safe and the staff at the hotel was friendly. They have a good size fitness room... More

I believe, there are better Hotels in New York, but I must say, that the Renaissance 57 is a really good hotel and the size of the room ok. My room was on the 8th floor and with a queen bed as well with a bath incl. window. The Club Lounge (not open on the weekend) served really good scrambled... More

Just stayed here last week, for 2 nights. Got the larger room, which was still pretty small, especially the bathroom. There is very little room to store any personal toiletries in the bathroom, which also suffers from an unfortunate sink faucet design along with a very small sink, which makes it very difficult to wash anything but your face at... Great location near 4/5/6, N/R trains on 59th & lex. Steps away from great shopping & food but a very basic, tiny room. No room service and hotel restaurant is overpriced & bland. Good spot for catching a few drinks but service is always poor in the restaurant.

Stayed for 5 nights with 2 friends in a junior suite. Great size for a New York hotel. Plenty storage space too! Bathroom very clean and modern. Hotel overall had a nice feel to it. The lounge and bar were nice sociable areas. We quickly realised that drinks were cheaper and the happy hour better in Opia than the lounge... More

Was looking forward to the typically good Renaissance experience, but it was not to be. Rooms are small (not a big deal, common in NYC), some of the lights didn't work. The heat and A/C seemed to be on a master control, rather than controlled completely by the guest. Very pretty and spacious bathroom, but sink is so small that... More

As a semi-frequent traveler to NYC - I often stay in midtown as it is central. This hotel was right near Bloomingdales flagship store. A few blocks walking distance from the 59th and Lex subway. An easy walk to Central Park and 5th Ave.. Even down to Rock Center. The hotel staff was friendly and the place was quiet which... More

Great location. Conveniently located to many of NYC's museums, shopping, and CentralPark. Friendly and helpful staff. Well maintained rooms -- but small. Well-appointed bathroom. Trendy design. Lively bar scene but restaurant so-so.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
