Writing this several months after staying! The hotel is in a great location for uptown or downtown and has the the lovely little Gramercy Park opposite which hotel, guests can access. The hotel rooms are extremely comfortable and I love the deep colours and velvety that adorn them. The rooftop Restuarant is lovely on a sunny day for breakfast. The breakfast... More

Great location, beautifully decorated, but poor service. As a hotelguest you are not allowed into the bar in the evening, unless you make a reservation. The same goes for the rooftop terrace for breakfast or lunch....so much for spontaneity. We stayed for three days and almost very guest in the elevator was complaining about lack of light. At a certain... More

A storied Grand Dame of Manhanttan the Gramercy Park hotel is both luxurious and comfortable. A great perk is the access to the private fenced-in Gramercy Park. Got upgaded which was great. Staff was sophisticated, courteous and available. Great bar at lobby level.

This is the first review that I have ever written. I feel strongly about informing potential guests to avoid this hotel because of the poor customer service. I live in Manhattan and my wife and I stayed here to celebrate my 50th birthday. On the positive side, the hotel is very well located and the lobby is very cool. The... More

I have stayed in this hotel twice and happened to get the same room both times so I can't compare room options. The junior suites are lovely. Floor to ceiling windows, spacious and lots of cupboard space. The decor is rich, cozy and a great change form the beige and brown dressing of all other hotels. The staff were very... More

Lovely location across the street from Gramercy Park. Convenient to Soho, Union Square and East Village. Each room is uniquely decorated with bold colors, black and white photography and luxurious finishes. Bathroom amenities are excellent quality. Towel rack was falling out and might not have made it through the next week. Rooms facing the park are best (light) and the... More

The positives: brunch and lunch at the Terrace are lovely - delicious food and great service. The lobby with fireplace is cosy and the drinks at the bar tasty and creative. The staff - for the most part - are friendly and helpful. The negatives: The rooms. Small, dark, smelly and suffocating. Especially room 511 - avoid avoid avoid. The... More

My review is a bit tainted after staying one night a few blocks down the road at the Carlton (FABULOUS!!!). We were in the city for a wedding, and the Gramercy refused to extend our wedding rate for an extra night (after finding out others were allowed to). So POOR customer service - especially since we were flying in from... More

I fell in love with The Gramercy Park the first time I walked in... the rich colors, the fabulous art, and just the smell of it, thanks to a custom fragrance emanating from candles in the lobby. I stay here as often as I can and have done so for the past few years Even before my arrival, Janine in... More

It is not worth the $590. A night that we paid for one night. They stuck us in a wheel chair accessible room which made things extremely inconvenient as we are 5"8 & 6"1. The door embarrassingly stays open for a while and you have to fight with it just to open. The lighting is horrible, it looks great but... More
