We stayed toward the end of March for one night and got a great deal, probably because the restaurant was being renovated. But since we were in the city to see friends and family on the Upper East Side, eating in the hotel was not a big concern. Nothing out of the ordinary for a big city, big chain hotel,... More

The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. Very good restaurants within walking distance. Room was comfortable and with recent renovations it was nice and clean. No restaurant on site. Exercise room was good for most workouts including an indoor pool.

This was our first time in New York, my family and I stayed here for 3 nights and we were very pleased with this hotel. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very nice. What made our stay the best was Matt. He was awesome. Matt took time to show us everything we needed to know about the... More

We stayed two nights. The rooms were clean, quiet and the hotel staff (front desk and room attendants on our floor) were very courteous, friendly and accommodating. Matt who was the Front Service attendant (Bellman/Doorman) was great! He provided us information on local places to eat (Timmy by the River) and things to see. The neighborhood around the hotel was... More

Stayed here for a couple nights on business. Staff was friendly, room was spacious, and the location was great for a business trip. Although I didn't try it myself, the pool looked amazing. It was nice not being in the heart of tourist town. There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance and it was easy to grab... More

We booked at the last minute, got a great rate and an upgrade to the 16th floor, accessible room, which was very nice - huge by NYC standards, but with a funky shower that flooded the floor (hint, there is a drain in the middle of the room) Valet is expensive $50.00 plus tip and takes a while to get... This Courtyard is located on 92nd between FDR and 1st Avenue. For us, visiting folks in that area, this proved to be an outstanding location. We had a room on the 12th floor looking south. Nothing very grand about that. Pretty average view. However, the room was actually a bit bigger than I've had in the past...especially the bathroom: it... More

Stayed here two nights. Room nice. Easy to get to via car, right off I95. The best thing though is the staff. Very friendly, courteous and accommodating. Will stay again when we are in NYC. Room big for NYC standards, floor quiet elevator quick for a hotel of this size. Enjoyable stay.

I was impressed at both the location and the renovations this hotel has made. Services on location was spot on. Close to transportation, food( great good in hotel). Fed Ex on site as well. Rooms were clean and to top it off the room had such a wonderful view for a first time trip to NY!

If you are looking for a quiet neighborhood in Manhattan, this is the place to be. Far from the crowd, it is a quiet residential area, with plenty of restaurants around and within walking distance of Central Park

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
