I stayed here for two nights. I got in early and was able to check in to my room right away. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They gave me directions to subway and how to get around. The area was safe at night. Self serve laundry was great to have.

Our group stayed at the Courtyard Marriott and experienced a superb experience from the staff. I appreciated being able to check into my room early. The location is great and I do recommend this hotel for your next stay!

My husband and I went to New York for the Persian Parade on April 19th, and we stayed at this hotel for one night. It was a nice hotel. It is an old one but it has been renovated, maybe a few years ago. The location is good. Only a few block away from Time Square.

I recently stayed at the Courtyard in the Upper East Side and I have to admit that my experience exceeded my expectations based on previous reviews for this property. The customer service was ideal. The team, especially Marc at the Front Desk went above & beyond to make me feel comfortable. They were courteous and ready to play the role... More

3 night stay for daughters minor surgery; hotel was clean, convenient to museum areas; night manager however was hostile, inhospitable. Valet parking was a convenience and prompt. Many restaurants and delis nearby.

This hotel was a bit off the beaten path for us, but we were pleasantly surprised. There were plenty of good restaurant options nearby and it was easy to get transportation elsewhere. Staff was friendly, beds comfortable, hotel was quiet.

Perfect location for family visits, very nice accommodations and expectations for the rate we paid which we found at half price. I would not stay there if I had to pay the $300 +. Ammenities do not match the high price. Good Customer Service. Very clean and comfortable.

Overall no complaints about this hotel stay. Room was relatively large for an NYC room, clean, and fairly quiet. Convenient location with a short walk to Central Park or the subway 4/5/6 line - two stops about 7 blocks either direction. Great pool area as well, and plenty of restaurants a block up on 2nd ave.

great location subway on the corner.Large, comfortable rooms.Decent price. i like the east side so this was perfect.Helpful conceierge, and front desk help. Not much of a lobby but we spent very little time in the lobby. There was no mirror in the bedroom ,which would have been helpful, but it was not a deal breaker.

The pricing proved impressive when considering NYC lodging. The room exceptionally clean and comfortable. Nothing shabby or second rate about the appointments. The hotel is convenient to local markets, an easy 15-20 minute walk to the Lexington Avenue subway, and we always felt safe. The day before we left I asked to have transport to JFK arranged for the next... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
