Archer Hotel - mid town location is brilliant for work and pleasure. Great hotel with lovely staff, brilliant food and a super hip roof top bar. Rooms are not large but function extremely well. Bathroom is perfect. Atmosphere in lobby very comfortable and it's a great place to work.

We just returned from a two night stay to celebrate our 20th anniversary. The Archer was an excellent choice! The location was great for getting to shows and shopping, it's right down the block from Lord and Taylor's. The room was small but clean and we had an excellent view of the Empire State Building. The rooftop bar was beautiful... More

The Archer is offers a slice of 1st class 5 star service in the heart of NYC. The staff was great! They did everything from hailing cabs to carrying bags. The restaurant in the Lobby was excellent as well. The food and atmosphere had a cool modern farm to table vibe about it. The food was excellent. I would defiantly... More

The concierge here welcomed us with refreshing cold water on a hot day which was a perfect start. We arrived prior to regular check-in time expecting to have our luggage tagged and go to our room later in the day. Our room was ready and they let us check-in early! We had a booked a King room with Empire view.... More

Do not be put off by the odd review saying the rooms are too small- they are perfectly sized, especially for New York! And the room contains a HUGE bed so what can they expect! Anyway! The location is excellent, five minute walk from the gorgeous Bryant Park and a ten minute walk to Times Square. Its location is in... More

Great mid-town location. An easy walk to Bryant Park and the NY Public Library, Times Square, Broadway and the theatre district, 5th Avenue, the Empire State Building and much more. An amazing, unobstructed view of the Empire State Building from the rooftop bar and terrace. An excellent breakfast in the ground floor restaurant and friendly service from everyone at the... More

My husband and I came to stay at the Archer NYC for a work trip and were absolutely overwhelmed with the kindness, professionalism, and attention of the staff. Everything was tailored to be an amazing experience- from the precious little sweets with turndown service, to the staff using your name without asking, and the quickness of their response if we... This was our first time to New York and after reading all the reviews we decided to book the Archer Hotel. Whilst the staff were friendly and it was a clean hotel we weren't overly impressed with the room and location. Yes most rooms are probably very cramped in New York City but we couldn't even open our small suitcases... More

We stayed at the Archer Hotel 10/23/14 to 10/25/14. We really enjoyed it. The location is great for walking around and site seeing. The decor is very cool. The rooms are small but that is to be expected in New York. Even though they were small they had everything you needed. The service was great and the front staff was... More

Finding character at attractive pricing whereby staff, location, service ethos, 'management attention' and a classy ambiance combine to create a distinctive and 'hard to buy' experience is just soooooo difficult. These guys just nailed it. Good job

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
