Great hotel, close to everything. Small rooms but very cosy ones with a great big bed. Well planned rooms. Free expresso and free wireless internet. The hotell is a art and deco/ boutique hotel. I recomend it to couples but not to family as the rooms are not so big.

I stayed at the Archer just a few days ago. The weather outside was frightening, but this darling hotel was a delight. Just the right size for singles or couples, the rooms are smartly designed and replete with nice touches. They are small, but have been designed to accommodate everything you need. The bathrooms are large and the amenities in... More

Someone who travels for business half the month or more might want a slightly better space to work in than I had in my room, but for me on a quick trip it was perfect—and very conveniently located near my client. Comfortable bed, generous bathroom with good lighting and magnifying mirror; turndown service was lovely. The thermostat can be annoying—you... More

When I arrived to the hotel, I was shocked that no one was outside to greet or assist with the luggage. Evan at the front desk was most pleasant! He was even able to grant an early check-in at 11:30am. When I arrived to the room I found it to be small (normal for NYC) but "turned down". The red... More

This new hotel, located in the heart of the garment district is definitely a gem! The staff is so personable and sincere, service levels are above & beyond, food by David Burke is fabulous & the Spyglass Rooftop Bar and it's outdoor patio offers dramatic views of the Empire State Building. Rooms are small, but clean & comfortable. The staff... More

Really modern, funky, clean hotel in great central location. Nespresso machine in room with new pods replenished every day and thoughtful turn down service each night. Staff were really helpful. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone coming to NY. Great views from hotel bar of Empire State Building. Food in restaurant was great too.

I enjoy my stay, it was high quality service and very confortable good night sleep. The only thing that was not as expected was the unavailability for an early check in even it was requested previously.

Just returned from a fantastic stay at the Archer. The rooms were excellent we were lucky and had booked a double room for the same size as a single. Little things like slippers, dressing gown and turn down service with small gifts made this an extra special place to stay. Great view of Empire State Building from the rooftop bar... More

Overall a very nice experience: great location, rooms with personal touch, and polite, helpful and friendly staff. As well a very nice restaurant in the lobby, i did not have a chance to have a look on the top bar, but seemed to be great as well

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
