I enjoyed everything about the Fifty. Great location, super people, superior room and services. I couldn't have picked better for my first trip to NYC. We stayed in a junior suite so had a kitchen. The resturants nearby are excellent too.

I could not have tailored a better experience had I been asked to. While the rooms were nice, and the view from our room wonderful - what really set our stay apart was the customer service offered through the accommodating staff. We did not see a frown or hear a negative word the entire time of our stay. We also... More

Our group of 6 arrived late morning on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. Eduardo greeted us and checked our reservation. Since it was so early, the reserved rooms were not yet ready. We were going to leave our bags with the bellman, and go out to explore, but Eduardo checked his inventory and offered us an upgrade to a... More

My daughter and I had weekend here in April, after checking reviews on TripAdviser. Great location, large room facing Fiftieth, compact bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff, breakfast was very good value, and daily happy hour was very nice? Only complaint was the frequent banging of doors...perhaps some lining would help. Will definitely stay again.

Just returned from a 4 night stay. It was a great hotel. Close to subway stations, friendly and helpful staff, great happy hour daily. The rooms were clean, newly remodeled and the beds were comfortable. The only downside was the small elevators. In the morning you would have to wait for several elevators because they would be full. If you... More

We always stay at one of the affina hotels when in NYC. They are conveniently located (east side 30-50s), generous sized rooms, always spotless and welcoming. Fifty (150 e 50th) is our new favorite. Great location if you're east side oriented. Lobby has a delightful meetup space. 2nd floor has a club room (quiet room, continental breakfast etc) and an... More

Friendly and helpful staff, fair value for NYC. The hospitality suite was only open for an hour each day which was too hard catch the open hours. room was clean and attractive. I was not able to adjust room temperature to my liking - it was cold and would not heat up.I would stay there again.

In a past review, I knocked Affinia down for a bad stay and they made up for it. They offered me a free night's stay and in NYC that is a lot. I've stayed there twice since, maybe 5 stays so far, and the more I look at the alternatives in Mid-town Manhattan, the more I am convinced this is... More

We stayed at the Fifty this past weekend. There were 5 of us and we got a junior suite. It was perfect for what we were looking for-we all fit comfortably. Wine hour from 5-6 is the best if you're around! The staff was very nice and helpful. Room was clean and well serviced. Great all around visit! The bellman... More

Midtown location, a few blocks away from 30 Rock and 5th Ave - very convenient location. Small chic, modern, clean and quiet boutique hotel. There is a lounge area on the 2nd floor that offers free wifi, wine tastings (in the evening) and free non-alcoholic beverages. A very nice touch. This is my go to hotel when I visit NYC.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
