This hotel is great! We had a junior suite on the 16th floor. The room was very clean, modern yet very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much. The complimentary wine hour every night was a nice surprise.

Stayed here with my mom and sisters for a girls' weekend getaway, and really enjoyed it. The location is great and near to the subway for easy travel throughout the city. We loved the wine happy hour in the afternoon. It was so great to get back to our "home base" at the hotel after daytime sightseeing and have some... More

Room was clean, bed and pillows comfortable, location right in mid town. All good except the room varied between 78-80 degrees. Tried the thermostat and when it didn't work, the front desk confirmed that "at this time of year the building is on central air so the thermostat won't work". They immediately offered to open my windows and bring up... More

The hotel is very roomy and from that point of view it's very good for families, very clean. However there is something about Affinia Hotels which makes my skin very itchy, not sure if its a scotch guard they use on furniture and carpets but this is my second on I have stayed in and other hotels don't do this.... Loved this hotel, from check in to check out ! Everything was great. Our room 1602 was lovely and big enough for 5 people, (three adults and two children) for our six night stay, the added benefit of a small kitchen was great for the children's breakfast. The lounge on the second floor was lovely, complimentary tea and coffee, and... More

My husband treated me to a week in NYC for my 30th birthday and chose this hotel as we always prefer staying in 'apartment' hotels. We stayed on the 22nd floor and our room had an absolutely huge balcony and amazing views. The room (and indeed, the entire hotel) was spotlessly clean, modern and felt luxurious. The room was very... More

This hotel is classed as a 3 star. I would give it a 3.5 overall as the rooms are good but the corridor areas are in desperate need of updating. The location is perfect for a weekend visit to NYC with both Times Square and Central Park only a 20 minute walk away. The price is very reasonable too given... More

This was our second stay at Fifty NYC (previously Affinia 50 and still seemingly in the middle of the name change), staying four nights over the Easter break. Since our last visit the hotel has been refurbished and our room, on the 17th Floor, was comfortable, clean and well furnished; although the bathroom was a little small. All in all... More

My family and I checked into Fifty NYC for a 3 night stay. I was traveling with my mother, sister, and young daughter (4 years old)- Upon arrival, we were given a room that was not cleaned- literally you could see every movement made by the previous guest that had already checked out (towel on floor, bed unmade, coffee cup... Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
