Stayed 2½ week for business - my wife stayed more than 2 months. We both agree that this is above and beyond staying at a hotel. For mid-town business, the location can not be beaten - and the facilities are great. A few highlights a) The business center is fine - two iMacs for internet + internet in all rooms... More

If you are staying for more than 3 days this is the place to book. The rooms are like apartments and even include a patio. There is also satellite TV in the living room and bed room. The room is also very quite.

I like the lobby of this hotel, small and personal. Breakfast is nothing much but it's New York and foods are everywhere. There was a kitchenette in the room. Within walking distance to Times Square and other NYC attractions.

Room was clean and big and you found all you need. Breakfast nothing special but close to time square nothing to say against a stay in this place. Not that expensive and stuff was friendly. For a stay in big apple always a recommendation without regret.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience at AKA UN property in New York. A little off the beaten path - which we were looking for - was the right approach for our couples weekend in the City. The former company I worked for has a relationship with the owner of this property, so I wasn't quite sure what... More

I have been working in NYC the past 6 months and will sadly be departing soon.My job requires a lot of travel, and so many times I have been less then satisfied with my accommodations, but this time I stayed at the AKA UN and it has been so nice and easy. The rooms are great, spacious enough for my... More

Wonderful staff, horrible place. Dingy, filthy, moldy, musty. Every hallway smells, laundry area reeks. Do not stay here if you haven't had a tetanus shot. Outdated furniture. Spend the money somewhere else to get a clean place. What a sham. Shame on them for letting this place go.

I was working in NYC for 1 year and found this location. I also visited for a couple nights again last year and dropped by to say hello 3 weeks ago. I stayed here for 1 year and was extremly satisfied with the accomodation, service and security. All and I mean all of the desk staff, doormen and managers were... More

We stayed here for a week in February 2012. Price was great, value for money was remarkable! Our suite was sizable, clean and stylish. We even had some friends staying for a night over at the suite with us, and it still didn't feel too small. Only negative issue is the breakfast, which is not too great.

I agree with the previous review so reused the headline. I was initially unenthusiastic about the location but it is very close to Grand Central (not to mention Grand Central Market). It is also a quiet street. The rooms and amenities are good and the staff are excellent, above and beyond.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
