A Wednesday night in Freezing February & this place is Hopping! Who knew?? I had a client dinner around the corner & decided to kick back afterwards rather than commute home then back again in the morning. I love this area of Manhattan - right in the heart of Greenwich Village. Make a right out of the hotel ...you're in... More

Perfect hotel in the perfect location. We had a Queen deluxe room on the seventh floor. I loved the faded decadent feel of the room; the wooden floors, the panelled walls, the comfortable squishy bed... Would have liked a chair in the room, but that's just a minor gripe. We will definitely book this hotel again for our next visit.... More

We stayed at the Marlton last week and just loved it. Of course, the rooms are small- it is in a terrific neighborhood in NYC, where cozy spaces are everywhere. The rooms are so well appointed! The towels are thick and soft, the bed is great quality, and the abundant lighting fixtures provide whatever light you want. The staff was... More

I've stayed here on three separate occasions and each time I wish I could live here. It's like being in a Wes Anderson movie but it's real. The rooms are like jewelry boxes. The front area is a super cozy and sophisticated living room and the bar and restaurant are fabulous. Will stay here whenever I can.

Just got back from a week spent at this lovely hotel. Really well placed to get to the big visitor attractions but also easy walking distance of Greewich Village and East Village and all that they have to offer. Bed super warm and comfy, room quiet ( we were on the 8th floor.) Yes expect a smallish room and bathroom...but... More

We spent Valentine's weekend here, and it was charming. We watched the snow fall out the window of the cute room. The bed was very comfortable, and even the pillows weren't too mushy. You are in the heart of the village, which is convenient. The lobby/bar/restaurant has some of the worst service on the planet, but the atmosphere is so... More

I really love this hotel. It is probably closer to 4.5 stars, ONLY because the rooms are so small (I don't know if I could stay here if I had more than 2-3 days worth of stuff because of the size of the rooms and lack of amenities - mainly, gym). The two things that really stuck out to me... More

When booking for our stay in NYC I wanted to get something with character. You certainly get this at the Marlton. The lobby area is very welcoming and they have a restaurant and bar if you don't feel like venturing out in the cold. We were slightly shocked at first when we opened the door to our room. I know... We stayed six nights in February in a deluxe room with a queen bed. We chose a room at the back of the hotel to ensure it was quiet. The bed was comfortable and we had great, uninterrupted sleep each night. The air conditioning worked quickly and well, so we were able to adjust as we came in from the... More

You almost want to laugh when you step into your room at the Marlton. You've heard that the rooms are small, but even then, you are surprised when you enter it. My room, which I am hoping was indeed the smallest (I can't imagine any room being smaller) barely contained the queen sized bed in it. I think there was... More

Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
