I had a great stay at this hotel in Jan 2015. The place was clean, quiet, in a great location, and affordable. More detail: - Right in Chinatown - fun and awesome. I asked for a room on the side away from the subway and they said that, since I had a queen double room, all those rooms were on... More

This was my first time booking a hotel in Manhattan. I came with a friend; we're both in our early 20's on a student budget. Fairfield on Henry St. just "fit" into our criteria and it was an easy decision to stay there. The price was the main draw, but other things we were looking for: + parking garages nearby... More

It was very location and walking distance to metro station attraction area. The services were excellent. The staff were very helpful for every thing. We had a large group staying there. They all love food, rooms and services there. The manager was very nice taking care of our reservation and guests request properly. The price was excellent for NY downtown.

This is our 2nd stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites - Downtown East - and so happy decided to give this hotel another try. Our first experience not so great - but this time a totally different experience! First we want to compliment Harold Gonzalez and his staff at the hotel - pleasant and professional! The hotel is located... More

I stayed here during a city-trip-visit to NY in August. The hotel is notably fully renewed and has clean rooms with all comfort. Breakfast is good but not extraordinary. Service is good. Sound-isolation is quite good, with almost no traffic sounds getting through (we stayed on the 4th floor). The location of the hotel is ideal for visiting china town... More

I have tried other Marriott brands in NYC, and find myself coming back to this hotel time and time again. The location in Chinatown may leave something to be desired, but it within 1 block of the metro (f line), and you cant beat the access to great inexpensive food options. The staff is great to work with, and has... More

Stayed here as a rewards night after a wedding in NYC Being somewhat local we knew we didn't want to be anywhere near the crowds in midtown. Parking was easy and only a couple minute walk from the hotel. Room was a good size, especially for NYC. Breakfast left a little to be desired, but can't really complain as its... More

I stayed here a year ago, and was less than pleased. On my second 1 night visit, I had better feeling about it from very beginning. Much improved service and feel, more attention to guests, few nice service touches. I assume that it was brought in by new management team. Note about value: as in other Manhattan hotels, rates vary... More

This modern hotel is clean and comfortable. The rooms are a decent size and the bathroom very good. The hotel is very close to the Manhattan Bridge, which can be noisy because the subway trains run all night. It's very convenient for Chinatown, with lots of nice, cheap restaurants nearby. The staff are helpful and friendly and the breakfast very... More

This place was clean, trendy, and offers complimentary breakfast. The neighborhood is very interesting with lots to do and eat, and it is close to subway access. It is also near one of the Chinatown Express bus stops from Philadelphia and Boston. Would definitely recommend, it lives up to all the other fantastic Marriotts.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
