Enjoyed this < 2 year old location's easy walking distance to Broadway theaters, Grand Central Terminal, Macys, Empire State Building, as well as Fifth Avenue shopping. Spotless rooms with everything you could need including large showers, IHome, free wifi, sizable flatscreens and an onsite bar. Helpful staff offered bag hold and cabs. Hot full breakfast - with ready-made waffles one... More

Recently experienced 5 fantastic days in the heart of New York - my wife an myself stayed at the Best Western Herald Square, just off 5th Avenue - which was ideally located for our holiday - everything we wanted to see and visit was in easy walking distance - the Empire State Building, Ground Zero, Central Park, not to mention... Room was exceptionally clean. Staff are extremely accommodating. Breakfast is very generous for all tastes. Location is perfect for a visit to NYC. I've worked in the hotel business for many years and must comment that this place far exceeded my previous employers establishments in NYC for about half the price!

Attended a function at Madison Square Garden with my daughter and needed a nice place with 2 beds for the stay. Was impressed with the room's cleanliness and the modern condition of the entire facility. A great value.

I am not sure why this hotel was deemed "Premier". I have stayed at many Best Western Plus and they had more amenities than this hotel. There was not a mini fridge or microwave in the room, very low light in the bathroom, the Elevators were loud and slow, and the only vending machine was located on the bottom floor... More

This hotel is in a great location! The breakfast was very good! The staff was very friendly and helpful!! The only downfall is the size of the room and the noise level on the street (but that was expected in NYC)! Room size is cozy for 2 people. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!!

We booked a room for 2 nights, and I must say, it was a wonderful experience. Starting from the front desk staff, to the room, to breakfast, it was all amazing. The location of this hotel is central to any, and almost everything in the city. Times square, Rockefeller Center, Empire State Building, ground zero.. all literally minutes away. Great... More

Was a great location for visiting NYC. Many attractions were located in a 9 block radius and the parking accommodations were really great. The breakfast was very nice and was very good. Clean, comfortable and a very good staff who helped with all our needs.

My husband and I just got back from spending 3 nights at the Best Western Herald Square. This was a great hotel... especially for the price! The location is great... less than 2 blocks from Macys and close to EVERYTHING... just a 11 minute walk to Times Square. The hotel is on 36th street and right down from several others.... More

Excellent location. 2-3 minute walk to Metro. We had the executive king room which is larger than most of the other rooms. Still it was small compared to most places we stay, but then again, that's NYC. Front desk was friendly, remembered our names and were very helpful. The complimentary breakfast was really good and of course saved us time... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
