Me and a friend stayed here for 4 nights. The only negative for our entire stay was that our room was tiny and literally just had enough room for the bunk bed. Apart from this, the staff were all really nice and helpful as well as helping us girls get our luggage up and down the stairs. The air con... More

I stayed in a private room, a private room (more expensive one), and a 4 bed female dorm. The private rooms had 1 bunk, 1 chair, a tv and 2 lockers. It was quite a small room however i was by myself so it was fine. I couldnt hear any traffic as i was level 4. The second more expensive... More

Good place to stay - good value for money - nothing fancy - but just what you need (comfy bed, good bathroom and great location) Check-in: Very friendly staff, really made us feel welcome after a long trip from the Netherlands. Check-in went quick and efficient. Room details: 2 pax - double bed - sink in the room - a/c... More

Very reasonably priced given it's location in Manhattan. We booked a private room, which consisted of bunk beds, with very comfortable mattresses, nice soft linens. A couple of lockers, wash basin and a small wall mounted tv. The room was tight, but to be expected in NYC, we only wanted somewhere to lay our weary heads. beds made and room... More

We stayed here for 5 nights in July and August 2014. On arrival, the hostel isn't easily identifiable from the outside making it fairly easy to miss. The front desk staff throughout weren't the happiest bunch of people that I have ever come across and did act as though every question and request inconvenienced them greatly. "Breakfast" is provided each... More

This is where I spent my very first night in the USA. Very friendly staff with clean facilities. I was particularly impressed with the fact that a towel and a small kit consisting of flip flops, shampoo, conditioner and soap was provided. A free 'first-come-first-serve' breakfast was provided and I was not aware of this before, so it was a... More

Just stayed for a week here. Great location - same street as Empire State Building and 15 min walk from Times Square, 5 mins from major subway intersection. Really friendly staff and really clean. Beds made each day which is unusual for a hostel. Plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. Only slight letdown is the beds - a... More

The staff here are the best and friendliest I've come across. They seem to facilitate tours and activities for guests to get to know each other and offer some sort of free breakfast which I unfortunately was unable to take advantage of. I stayed one night in a private room with a shared bathroom.. The room was very basic but... More

Been here last year and had a great time! We had a room at the top and fifth floor (with no elevator) and it was very clean. Because it's on a busy crossing there was some trafficnoise at night, but the location made that worth it. When you walk a few blocks you get to the Empire State Buildig, Macy's... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
