My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights in October. We had wanted to save some money on accommodation, but unfortunately, this place cost us an additional $700.00 on top of all of their additional fees. Why you ask? I will get to that… The lobby will trick you. It’s very nice and modern which makes you think the... More

Thank you for your comment. We at the New York Budget Inn pride ourselves in having a clean location. Daily housekeeping is provided to make sure that each room as welcoming as the first day we opened. Maintenance is also on staff during the evening to ensure the cleanliness of our facility. The new mattresses include multiple pillows of various... More

This hostel is very tiny! In a room for 2 only one can stand up. The sheets are full of most different kinds of hairs and also the restrooms were smelly and dirty (even with the cleaning person passing trough there 2 times at day!). The staff were nice at the first day, but they forgot to warn us that... More

It is very well located. It is Safe. It is clean (they Make your bed in the morning and organise the room). The staff is helpful. I liked the the storage room for your baggage if you have to check out earlier! I also liked that they organise the transport to the airport. It is also a discrete place if you... More

This is without doubt the worst hostel I have stayed in while travelling. I have slept on trains in Vietnam which were more comfortable, more luxurious and there was more room for my luggage. This place truly is the pits. Others have written about how the staff did karaoke. The only staff we saw seemed to be on duty 24... More

We stayed in a private room at the back of the building. On our first night we were so hot the entire night we couldn't sleep! The next 2 nights the air conditioning was working correctly. There was constantly hair on the bed of the friend I travelled with. Also the fitted sheet on the mattress was a size to... More

i have to travel a lot for business and mostly I stay at hotels until my friend suggested a hostel. I never heard of the concept but decided to do so research especially since i heard they are more affordable and have a different atmosphere than your average hotel. I came across New York Budget Inn and read such excellent... More

This place has been open about six months and still looks brand new. I stayed there for the weekend in a private room that was very affordable....especially for the location. Friendly staff, live music and free computer use and WiFi. Printing was free also! Bathrooms are down the hall and are private when you use them and shared when you... More

This hostel is the best I have ever stayed in. It is centrally located. There are many stores if you are in the mood to do some shopping for clothes or souvenir to bring back home. The Empire State building is near. The staff are super friendly and love to sing karaoke. The atmosphere is great; the minute I walked... More

This hostel was the worst hostel we ever stayed in. These are the reasons. 1. The bathrooms were absolutely filthy - The floors and showers in the bathrooms were not cleaned in the entire week I stayed there. I used public toilets to avoid the hostel ones. Strong urine smell, dirt on the floor, scum all over shower and curtains.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
