I've stayed at the Jade Hotel a handful of times when in NY for business, and it's a perfect spot for a single traveler! I'm close to meetings in the flatiron, midtown/garment district and downtown, and close to great restaurants and shopping. Pros: --good location --free wifi --great shower pressure //modern bathrooms --comfy bed --free bottled water (love this touch)... More

The Jade hotel is the NYC heart beat hotel, it's romantic and hip with a fantastic views from the room balcony of the Empire State. You will be in for a treat believe me. We can't wait to return! You will be so close to all the main attractions and of course the city bikes are right outside the door!... More

The Jade Hotel offers a cool vibe, a handsome property and a staff that lives to make you happy. All in a excellent location -- where West Village meets Flatiron. I am a New Yorker who lives elsewhere, but I come back to NYC often and always try to find unique hotel experiences. This is the first Tripadvisor review I... More

We're reasonably savvy travellers, and we thought this not so little boutique hotel was super - somebody, somewhere, has got so much so right. Décor, ambiance, and lighting all really work in what we consider an ideal West Village location. Add to this, there is easy access via taxi or subway to all the rest of Manhattan. Not to forget... Quality was mixed. The decorations and fixtures are high quality and the bed was super comfortable. Food was tasty and well cooked. However the rooms are cramped, and the lack of tea making facilities was very puzzling - never experienced that anywhere before! I asked to move to a larger room but apparently the room I was given was a... More

Dear Adrian A, Thank you for your review. We were glad to read that you found our service to be warm and welcoming and that you enjoyed the décor, bed and food in the restaurant. We apologize the size of the room and lack of tea provided in room detracted from your stay. While we don’t have tea as part... More

The Jade Hotel really is a hidden gem. The hotel is clean and cozy and the employees are very friendly. The lobby is very charming, and they offer a great vibe for cocktails before or after dinner. The hotel is a small boutique hotel in a great neighborhood with tree lined streets, townhouses and many great restaurants. There is plenty... More

The Jade Hotel in Greenwich village is a gem. From the moment you walk in, the staff do everything possible to make your stay memorable and enjoyable. The rooms are small, but well appointed. The beds are super comfortable, the linens of the finest quality although there are neither coffee makers nor fridges but you can order service or go... More

This is a cute boutique hotel with a charming restaurant for breakfast. Although the decor is lovely, the rooms are absurdly small and noises travel easily. I could hear every word said by the couple in an adjacent room. Not recommended for people looking for a quiet place to sleep. The hotel looks nice but the noise, and the size... More

This was my second stay here. The room is very nice. Hotel is filled with atmosphere and staff is friendly (especially the cute blonde at the reception!). Location is great as well. They would get 5 star easily was it not for the banging aircon.

The rooms are small but the amenities are very nice and the staff is professional. The doorman and his red umbrellas are a very nice enhancement to the experience and to the neighborhood. They should make people more aware of the elevator, as otherwise you need to climb a flight of stairs every time you leave, and there is no... More

Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
