Very nice rooms and excellent location. If you get a room with the aircon banging every 5 minutes ask to move (as I did). Also, the computer at the front desk did not work properly. So, when asking to leave at 1130 instead of 11, the key was not updated (despite the front desk "taking care" of it). So I... More

Great location, in the village, walking distance to NYU, Washington Square, and one block from Union square. Nice European decor, with bar and restaurant in the back. The rooms are modern, however, I think design was prioritized over practicality. E.g. Not enough light to read in the room. Also the old fashioned phone is by the bed and I thus... More

You could almost walk by The Jade- it's unassuming and charmingly elegant and easy to miss in the behemoth of buildings that typify NYC hotels and stand adjacent in nearby Union square. The classic and easy style exists in the operations and services throughout -just as it doesn't look like a hotel -more like an old townhouse- it effortlessly doesn't... More

Booked this hotel for a quick getaway with my daughter. Love atmosphere? This hotel has it in spades! Every detail of decor has been meticulously attended to. The graceful art deco interior is reminiscent of bygone days, yet still has quirky modern touches that set it apart. And it's not short on the mod cons, either. We had everything we... More

The Jade is the perfect hotel in a perfect location. I was thrilled to discover a hotel in my favorite neighborhood that provides stylish elegance and intimate charm. I've stayed in many NYC hotels as a visitor, with the high expectations and insider knowledge of a NY native who lived in Manhattan over 25 years. The Jade wins top billing... More

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. It is a beautiful hotel with a 'boutique' feel. The rooms are larger than ones I have stopped in previously in New York and the finishing and decor of the rooms is excellent. I also had an unfortunate incident at the hotel and the staff couldn't of been any more helpful. They are... More

A superb boutique hotel with superb and friendly service in an excellent West Village location. Comfortable rooms ( small but New York standard size for the price). Good value. Excellent breakfasts. Good Bar with friendly and helpful barman. Beware the Bourbon!

Im not a super big fan of going to N.Y. Too many people, too much noise, too much smell. I really like being in N.Y. Highline in the fall is a new classic right up there with Central park in the fall. The Jade made me feel like I could enjoy more of why I like being there and less... More

We just spent a very enjoyable weekend at the Jade when visiting our daughter for NYU Parents Weekend. This hotel is in the perfect location, making it easy to stop back for a rest and a change of clothing before going out to dinner. The room is a bit "cozy" but that is NYC hotel accommodations. We were greeted with... More

We have just returned home from New York, having stayed for 4 nights at The Jade. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this wee gem. The front of house staff went out of their way to help us, giving great advice on dining options etc. The staff were always professional and polite - in particular Kyle at the desk, and Peter... Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
