The Comfort Inn Midtown West is located on W48 near the corner of 11th Ave. It is about 6 months old.The area has its share of business, clubs/bars, eateries and apartment buildings, so it has a good mix. The neighbourhood is safe and relatively quiet. It is a short walk to 50th Street subway station. There are plenty of shops... More

We stayed at this hotel from Sept 14th to 17th. Our trip was to celebrate our 30th anniversary. We had booked this hotel because in was on 48th street and not far from the port where we were meeting a friend who works on a ship on Sunday morning. The hotel is new (6 or 7 months old). The location... More

New and near to everything ! Rooms are small, but that's what you expect. But clean. Breakfast was good, waffles really good. Tropicana oj. Safe walking. Lots of restaurants near by. Good service as well. I recommend!

The staff is just down right rude and unfriendly. Couldn't have cared less if we gave them business or not. Location of this property is nothing special. Sits in a 'seedy' neighborhood and not close to any shopping/trains......but IS close to the NCL Breakaway cruise ship. Within 2-3 blocks of walking from the hotel. (Very convenient) Lobby is small and... More

Mr. Hauff - Thank you for taking time to let us know about your stay. The largest red flag was that your stated my staff was rude & unfriendly. I'm almost sure your thinking of another hotel, because I don't believe my staff has a rude bone in their bodies. According to my reports, you were the rude one, when... More

We arrived around noon and walked around for 2 hours when our room was ready. 2 blocks from dozens of restaurants and shops. About 10 minutes to Times Square. We thought the location was great and quieter than elsewhere. Also a 5 minute walk to the cruise terminals, which we loved. No NY taxi to ride. Easy check in at... More

This Comfort Inn is new this year and was clean, tidy and worth the money. Although the rooms were a long way apart, we had asked for 2 rooms close together and we were on the ground floor and our friend was on the 4th floor overall it didn't make too much difference. The staff were friendly approachable and always... More

Room was very small but neat. No mini bar, not even water in the room to make use of the coffee machine... However, all was working in perfect condition and clean. Reception could be more friendly and helpful, but no effort for that. Several restaurants, cafes and deli's are within walking distance and so is the Subway. Because we walk... More

Booked this hotel last minute and it was considerably cheaper than other nearby hotels with the same rating. The hotel didn't disappoint. The service was good and the check-in was quick. The rooms are a bit small but this is New York, so that's expected. Everything was clean and organized. The location is quiet but it's still a short cab... More

We were very happy with this Comfort Inn. Small room but clean. Staff very helpful. What we really liked was that we could easily walk to see the shows on Broadway, go to Times Square and Grayline to catch our tours. Not as expensive as many hotels in the area.

I stayed at this hotel for a couple of days. It is expensive for my taste. The location is mediocre. No decent place to eat within walking distance. Hard to find a taxi since the hotel is in a bit of a lonely spot. Breakfast area is too small and hard to find a seat in the morning. The rooms... More

Thank you for taking time to let us know of your opinions of your recent stay. Even though you disagree, I believe our hotel is in a good location for those guests that prefer to be away from the madness of Times Square. In addition, being in the heart of Hell's Kitchen, our hotel has an opportunity to expose our... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
