I booked this through American Express travel and wasn't 100% sure I made the right decision since there isn't really much around the hotel , however that was actually a HUGE PLUS! No hustle and bustle. My first experience with the hotel was when I called inquiring about an early check in, as we arrived at 7am. I spoke to... More

Having been to New York quite a few times over the years, we were looking at more mainstream hotels such as the Waldorf Astoria or the Soho Grand. I have to say The Refinery was a great find, friendly staff, fantastic spacious rooms and a great rooftop bar. Would recommend it 100%, the bar / restaurant was quite noisy, but... More

My wife and I stayed here for a friends wedding. The amenities were second to none. The staff was kind and on point. The hotel was a bit on the pricey side. However, this hotel was worth every...hold up. My wife and I decided to order breakfast which may have been the greatest flaw of the hotel. Surrounded by a... More

My daughter and I stayed at the Refinery Hotel for a few nights and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is in a great location and very comfortable and well appointed. We loved our well designed room which wasn't large, but had high ceilings and felt spacious. This is such a cool transformation of what was once a millinery factory.... More

Thank you for your excellent feedback, lynnruby. I do assure you that the hiccups you experienced during your stay were an anomaly. We were extremely happy to read that you had a wonderful experience staying with us, and that you enjoyed our homage to our millinery past. We are looking forward to seeing you again in the future. Every. Single. Detail. Jaw Dropping. We stayed 5 nights and it was so peaceful, right in the middle of everything. Easy to walk to the Hudson, Times Square or jump on the subway to head somewhere fun. I would live here!!! LoL. If you like trendy, nightlife, food and luxury treatment. This is the place, with a little bit of... More

We recently spent 2 nights at this hotel. From the moment we were greeted by the hotel doorman we were made to feel special. Every member of staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is perfectly situated for access to many of the city's attractions. The interior and design of the hotel is modern and inviting. Roof terrace bar/restaurant... More

My room were quiet, modern and well equipped (e.g., safe large enough for a laptop, plenty of space to hang and store clothes), the bed was comfortable. Many eating options within a block or two. Coffee making in the room would have been good, but morning coffee in the lobby and other options nearby compensated. Staff were consistently cheerful and... More

I was there during a business trip and it was wonderful to feel like if I was on holidays. The room was spacious, had wonderful views to the Empire State building, a very comfortable bed and a massive bathroom. I really found very comfortable the design of the room, and I loved the big closet full of hangers, as well... More

Good location next to Bryant Park. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Used this hotel as a weekend base. Walked to theater district one way and to Chelsea Market the other. Hotel room was small but comfortable and room rate was good. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed over a week for holiday, the location is excellent, everything is new and the interior design is spotless. The service very friendly but also inconsistent, really depending on the single individual, whether at front desk, housekeeping, door or restaurant. The rooms are beautiful, with high ceilings and designed in every small detail. Except they aren't always practical, starting... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
