Booked this hotel for a long weekend break in November for sightseeing. The rooms are small but they are modern and clean which is all you need if you are out all say exploring. Bed was really comfy and the toiletries were nice. If travelling with anyone else I'd recommend being on very good terms with them as the bathroom... More

I can't speak highly enough of my experiences at Pod 39. I did 4 days in a bunk mini pod, and while it was small, it's called a Pod. I wasn't expecting large. My only slight issue was the lack of privacy in the bathroom with the glass door. That was overcome easily. My next 4 days were in a... More

We stayed at Pod 39 for a few night this November. Reception staff were great, very friendly and efficient. Our room was small, we guessed it would be given the hotel name but it was very clean and modern, had a nice view of 39th street and some of the taller buildings in the area, and had everything we needed... I was looking for just a shower and a bed between flights. I found myself in the smallest room i have ever been to, which was also freezing cold so I had to push the AC unit to max. There was also a bedside lamp which could be switched on only when the main light was on. There was a... More

The heater wasn't working the coldest day in this winter. My room temperature was 60 degree. The manager asked me to have 'EXTRA BLANKET' to sleep in that cold. I asked him back how come he come up with that terrific idea. He said "well, some people likes to stay in cool." i finally switched over to the next room... More

The pod hotel is just that – pod-sized rooms for travellers looking to spend more time out of their rooms than in it but who want to get back to a neat place for a shower and some rest after all the walking and shopping. The location is great since it is only a few minutes away from Times Square... More

Yes its very small- but clean and has all the amenities you need in a room in NYC. Your not going to spend alot if time in there anyway !! Very easy access to Grand Central. May be a little awkward if sharing with a friend as the bathroom has glass wall and not very opaque at that.

Superbly located on 39th St at Lex, just near the Chrysler building and a few blocks from Grand Central is this little gem. It's called a Pod hotel so don't expect spaciousness but you can expect a friendly welcome, a comfortable, clean room and a reasonably priced (and sized) breakfast. We were expecting small but the rooms have everything that... More

We had a great stay here... maybe we are biased because we used to live in the neighborhood, but we found the location very convenient--three subway lines are accessible a few blocks away at Grand Central, and you can walk to much of Midtown easily, as well as hit the Morgan Library, Bryant Park, Koreatown... Empire State Building if that's... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
