Stayed at Pod 39 during our trip to New York, this hotel was exactly what we needed, a bed at the end of the day. In a great location, only a brief walk away from Times Square, grand central and Madison square garden. Highly recommend this place. The concierge area great help. Only concern is the discretionary frosting on the... More

Stayed in a Single Pod room for 3 nights. With close proximity to Grand Central Terminal station, this hotel was a great base for commuting and sightseeing. Front Desk staff was accommodating; the hotel restaurant/bar was lively during nighttime (but still quiet in the room). The room itself is equipped with basics and tight for space, but not an issue... More

We have just returned from 3 nights break in NY. Stayed in a queen pod room 618. Room was actually bigger the expected, we had 4 bags, 2 large suitcases and 2 carry ons. The two large ones fitted perfectly under he bed and there were lots of other spaces to store pm the rest of our stuff so the... More

Remember your college dorm room? This is pretty close. But that's not necessarily bad if it's all you need. Certainly not all the amenities of a full hotel room, but not the price either, especially in downtown Manhatten. A single bed (or two if you count the upper bunk), bathroom/shower, TV, and a small work desk. Like their ad says,... More

Though the rooms are very small, they have great amenities including a fantastic shower, very comfortable beds and a large safe to keep valuables. The location is excellent too with nearby Scotty's diner being a solid option for breakfast. Would recommend and stay again.

hassle free travel... somehow they have managed to make their booking, checking in out processes as relaxed and client-friendly as the staff. so in addition to the fun and comfortable rooms, nice toiletries and great communal space downstairs, it feels a bit more like staying at a friend's house than in a hotel. Nice work Pod!! I'll be back.

I booked the Pod 39 for a surprise trip for my 16 year old daughter. It was just the two of us so I got the "mini" bunk pod. TINY does not describe it. Think walk-in closet with bunk beds, a bathroom and a desk crammed into it. The picture on their website is of a regular bunk pod, NOT... More

Funky, Modern hotel, friendly and helpful staff, great showers, lovely bar. Our favourite part was the bathroom door, in our hotel room. Much to our pleasant surprise, it contained a 'glory hole' which we used on several occasions. I will never look at a bathroom door in the same way again!!!

The rooms are modern, well equipped, very very clean with great bathrooms and. Dry friendly and helpful staff. The bar is noisy and very crowded at night but go in the morning for the $3 coffee (the best we had in NYC) and croissant. Very cent trial and as cheap as you'll get in NYC.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
