Really good hotel! I was surprised! Clean, organized and cheap. Everything works perfectly. Friendly employees. Great location, 5 minutes from Grand Central Teminal. Most of sightseeing on foot! I recommend!

Nice place for short stays with light luggage. Everything is quite clean and the design is simple but smart, the room was very compact but, who cares? you're in NY not to stay at the hotel. It's near to Grand Central and line 6.

My husband and I stayed here for a couple of days during our stay in NY. The hotel is clean with many young guests. Good location! Room: Very, very small rooms. Clean. We both had two large suitcases which was a problem as we had to open one suitcase at a time and the other person had to sit on... More

The title says it all. I loved this hotel. My daughter and I were on a girls trip to see a show. This hotel was perfect for us. We had a bunk pod and I started to call it our teeny tiny itty bitty awesome bunkbed room. It was VERY small, but amazingly fun and perfect for what we needed.... More

Pod 39 is a perfect little hotel for any couple looking to explore the incredible city of New York. Its in an excellent location just a short walk away from grand central station. The rooms are incredibly small but your surely going to be spending all your time out in the city right? My wife and I were in a... More

My bestie and I stayed at Pod 39 in a Queen Pod for one week last October/November. As advertised, the rooms are small although the price and location make up for the size of the rooms. The rooms are modern, clean and have a super comfortable bed. As mentioned in other reviews, the bathroom is adjacent to the bed and,... More

We stayed in nov 2014, the walk was about 20-30mins to time square. The rooftop bar was amazing but you cant bring food up from outside restaurants because its run by the taco place downstairs (which was quite expensive). This was a shame cause there was an amazing pizza place around the corner and we just wanted to chill on... More

Were travelling on a small business budget with two men and looked for a great location. Pod 39 has bunk beds and you can barely turn around in the default room BUT the location is awesome and staff are very friendly. On a note of caution, we did have unusual evening experiences with the 'crowd' around

Everything clean and neat, very friendly staff. Easy to get to and from any everywhere. The bar downstairs has a really cool vibe!!! The room is small but had everything you need. Coffee and bagels downstairs in the morning was an added touch.

Stayed at Pod 39 for a short visit in NYC. Many people comment on the small size of the rooms (it is already called a pod), On this note, i manage a hotel in Turkey, and many of our normal rooms are the same size as a pod 39 room, and we just call it a room. Maybe by american... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
