The location is amazing! So are the staff. Always happy to help. Everything is on your doorstep here. So many restaurants & shops. East Village was definitely our favourite part! Loads of good transport links to Brooklyn & the rest of NYC. Yes it can be a little noisy but we didn't find it was the traffic but more people... More

See their description of "The Bean" coffee house at street level. I agree, it's a nice place. At least one of the Bean's music system's speakers is on its ceiling, which is room 4's floor. The ear plugs are there for a reason....but inadequate for me. This is a nice area. Nice room. If you plan to be up and... More

Convenient hotel in East Village with rooms above the popular Bean Cafe. We were concerned about possible noise when we were given ear plugs on arrival, but didn't notice it at all. Rooms were reasonably sized and well priced for New York and we would definitely go back.

Nice clean, bright rooms. I lived in this neighborhood decades ago. This hotel is like living there again. It is a good NYC walk-up experience. The rooms have comfortable beds, a kitchenette which is hugely convenient. The bathrooms are clean, totally modern facilities. Yes, the rooms are small, but that is what living in NYC is for everyone but the... More

Great location in the heart of East Village. Nice to have a little apartment to get an NYC feel to the trip. Bed very comfy bed. Yes it can be a little noisy on the 2nd floor near the road, but only really effected us with Jet lag at 8:30PM. Not to bad later on in the evening and at... More

We only stayed for one night so this may not be representative of every night at the East Village. The staff was terrific and the neighborhood was fine. The room was well laid out with a queen bed and a small kitchen and was clean as well. The price was terrific. No problems so far. I had requested a room... More

Ok so your not going to stay here (well at least not on the 1st floor) if your a light sleeper, you can hear the cafe below, the room above and the street outside. But for me this was part of the charm and part and parcel of being in the east village. The room was well equipped, bedroom and... More

This apart-hotel was a great stay! Actual rooms are true to pictures. I booked this hotel solely for its location, a plethora of tasty restaurants right down the block or within walking distance. Late night pizza across the street, sushi, tacos, you name it. Union Square and SoHo are nice 20 minute walks away as well. You can't go wrong... More

We had a great room on the second floor. It was big by NYC standards, bed was comfy and street view was great. Staff here was very friendly, Nazib took great care of us, we had a great stay. Missing NYC very much.

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
