We have stayed here many times before but never reviewed it. It is definitely our go to place in New York. We arrived Saturday and the greeting was warm, friendly and sincere.. We then moved to the club for the Saturday "feast" and believe me it was a feast.. All the food you could ask for - fresh fish, oysters,... More

Location is the big plus of the hotel. The rooms are too small for what you are paying. The area outside the hotel is very busy so if you have a room facing the street expect to get noisy at night. The pool area is great but there are way too many visitors/members so don't expect to find a sunbed... More

Soho house New York is a good place to stay for something out of the normal range of hotels. We stayed in a medium sized room for 3 nights, was noisy due to renovations on the roof that they omitted to tell us about on booking; this was not good nights sleep as a result. The bar / lounge upstairs... More

So the best thing I know is to stay at boutique hotels which this definately is. The room was small which i didn't mind and you felt so at home after a long day shopping. A bartender knocked on the door in the afternoon and had a drink trolley and offered complimentary drinks. Everything was spot on. The only thing... More

Loved this hotel. Great spot for downtown nyc, super rooms with the 'medium' being great, but the 'large' being quite spectacular. Lots of nice little touches but in particular the early evening cocktail service in your room, and the club atmosphere of the hotel too. Lots going on, whether its a screening, some live music or and various other functions.... More

This is one of the best places to stay in New York. I end up traveling for business at least once a month for 3 days, and this is where I prefer to stay. Staff is friendly, rooms are nicely done and the food is pretty good too. If anyone is looking to get into Soho House, drop me a... More

This is probably the best place to stay in downtown NYC. Great and comfortable rooms. Wonderful club and roof top and great service. If it isn't booked I always try to stay here. Really enjoy people watching and atmosphere. Location in the heart of MPD has some of NYs bet restaurants and clubs in walking distance.

We stayed at Soho House on our fifth and final night in the city. We chose to say at SHNY because we were spending four nights in a more touristy location at a more traditional 5* hotel, and wanted to do one night to experience Soho, and stay at somewhere a little more boutique. First of all a big shout... More

Probably top three hotels I've had the pleasure of....from the friendly and uber efficient staff to the perfect location and decent sized rooms (even our smallest room was a good size for NYC), this place hits every spot....oh, and it's got a pool!

Across from the Gansevoort Hotel is Soho House. Invited by friend who is a member there to have drinks at the bar. Great fireplace and many sofas gives this place an exclusive vibe. Fair prices for NY, waiters friendly and attentive. Didn't check out the hotel or cinema.

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
