We had a quick raid from England to New York for a long weekend and were recommended soho house .What a find .A very small corridor for a reception was a bit odd but this was not a problem as the staff had big smiles and were superb and like a Tardis you got straight in the lift and were... More

My family and I stayed at this hotel recently having been highly recommended. I was perhaps a little too old for the buzzy atmosphere, laptops flipping open everywhere, cell phones ringing out constantly and gel slickered back guys and pouty wannabe girls trailing their way around everywhere. However, our room was pretty cool, our breakfast taken in their clubby eating area and the all... More

This place is always hustling but it's the buzz place, the place to be for business or socializing. It's hard to find bad food in NYC and is doesn't disappoint. Prices are mid to high but it's what you should expect. This is not the place for the family tourist stop off. It's its own entity in the city for... More

Our visit got off to a great start. The reception staff were welcoming and the room was lovely. The weather was hot so we were excited to get up on the roof and make the most of the pool and roof bar. Once up there though we were really disappointed. The atmosphere was pretentious and unwelcoming. The pool was not... More

We have stayed here many times before but never reviewed it. It is definitely our go to place in New York. We arrived Saturday and the greeting was warm, friendly and sincere.. We then moved to the club for the Saturday "feast" and believe me it was a feast.. All the food you could ask for - fresh fish, oysters,... More

Location is the big plus of the hotel. The rooms are too small for what you are paying. The area outside the hotel is very busy so if you have a room facing the street expect to get noisy at night. The pool area is great but there are way too many visitors/members so don't expect to find a sunbed... More

Soho house New York is a good place to stay for something out of the normal range of hotels. We stayed in a medium sized room for 3 nights, was noisy due to renovations on the roof that they omitted to tell us about on booking; this was not good nights sleep as a result. The bar / lounge upstairs... More

So the best thing I know is to stay at boutique hotels which this definately is. The room was small which i didn't mind and you felt so at home after a long day shopping. A bartender knocked on the door in the afternoon and had a drink trolley and offered complimentary drinks. Everything was spot on. The only thing... More

Loved this hotel. Great spot for downtown nyc, super rooms with the 'medium' being great, but the 'large' being quite spectacular. Lots of nice little touches but in particular the early evening cocktail service in your room, and the club atmosphere of the hotel too. Lots going on, whether its a screening, some live music or and various other functions.... More

This is one of the best places to stay in New York. I end up traveling for business at least once a month for 3 days, and this is where I prefer to stay. Staff is friendly, rooms are nicely done and the food is pretty good too. If anyone is looking to get into Soho House, drop me a... More

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
