My boyfriend and I stayed at the Affinia Dumont for three nights and we were very pleased with the property. We got a really good deal on Travelzoo ($179/night for a studio with a king bed). First, the staff - very pleasant, accomodating, definitely schooled in guest services. The room - huge. I couldn't believe how large it was for... More

THe room contained a well equiped and large bathroom and Kitchen. The room and living area was spaceous with two double beds. The views from the two windows... More

I cant understand the recent two star ratings of this hotel. We stayed for 4 nights in a Juniour Suite which had King Size bed, Study desk, Settee and Kitchenette. We requested a room with both a river view and City view and were allocated a room on the 34th floor with the requested views! ( Email the hotel prior... More

After reading all the positive reviews on TripAdvisor we decided to stay at this hotel at the end of March for a week - we were not disappointed. Dana Hawkes welcomed us to the hotel and gave us a corner suite on the 37th floor so the views were spectacular and the room itself was perfect and extremely clean. The... More

We are a couple in our 30's visiting New York for the first time for a week, so we were looking for a good location, good value, comfort and quiet to recover from long days sightseeing. The Affinia Dumont was all of the above and more. The Affinia is centrally located in the Murray Hill/midtown area, 3 blocks away from... More

Stayed at Affinia Dumont April 8-15 with my husband and two sons (9 & 10). I could not find one single reason to fault this hotel. The hotel exceeded my expectations. I read reviews for many other hotels and it seemed that unless you stay at an expensive hotel, you could not have a comfortable and pleasant experience. Affinia Dumont... More

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in March. We chose this hotel based on its tripadvisor rating and were not disappointed. We had a studio suite which is the cheapest room, but it was huge. The beds were comfortable, modern decoration, modern clean bathroom and handy kitchen. The location is good. 5 mins walk from the subway... More

Stayed at the Affinia Dumont in March. Had an excellent stay, New York is fantastic and the Affinia Dumont was a great place to return to at the end of a hectic day.We got upgraded to a suite (living area / kitchen / bedroom and bathroom ). The decor was tasteful, the room was kept spotlessly clean and we received... More

I have just returned from a 7 Day holiday in New York City and unfortunately made the mistake of booking the Affinia Dumont. I made the choice after reading other trip advisor member reviews and seeing that the hotel is ranked as one of NY's best. I have always been delighted with previous hotels I have booked as a result... More

My partner and I usually decide where to stay in holiday ultimately based on Tripadvisor ratings and we have been delighted with our choices so far. Because the Affinia Dumont received an overall rating of 4.5 and ranked number 3 of all NY hotels, and because the rooms were described as spacious, we booked it. I should point out that... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
