There were several cockroaches found in our room on the third floor. After being in the room for four hours, the person at the front desk so said they won't refund our money. Disgusting place and disgusting service.

This is the most cost efficient hotel I could find in Manhattan. The room was good and for the price, great. Besides the price, it is in a lively location, close to the subway and the bus stop is close to the door. Rays pizza is a 24 hr pizza bagel shop on road level. The only negatives about the... More

$200 a night for a two bed room with two bathrooms which isn't bad for MYC. Room was very clean and functional with comfortable bed, TV and ample storage space for clothes. WIFI available at an additional charge, maps etc free at the 24hr reception. No fridge or coffee making facilities in the room which would have been nice. Hotel... More

This is my third stay at the St Marks Hotel. Love it here. Nothing fancy but it's an old historic building in a super cool location. I feel very comfortable here and will be back on my my next NYC trip.

We stayed at St. Mark's this past weekend. Had a blast! It is in an excellent location within walking distance of many great places such as Chelsea Pier/Market, Canal Street, 9/11 memorial. The hotel is a great historical building with lots of winding staircases and very clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Great help with the subway system!... More

This hotel was a good value and right in the middle of a happening neighborhood! I will stay here next time! Understand that it is a one star hotel, but clean and a good price. It is upstairs, but there is a guy to help with bags if needed.

I stayed at the hotel recently as I was bringing my daughter to school. A good choice for a budget, and many of the folks staying there were European tourists. It reminded me of the old Band B's in England; slightly shabby and eccentric. I stayed at the very top of the long narrow staircase. Rooms are small, but reasonably... More

After comparing apartment rentals, hotel special offers and hostels for a two-night stay in New York, we decided on St Mark's Hotel based on price and location, and were very happy with our choice. We had the two-room suite #20, which consists of two hotel rooms that have been joined, so that each room still has its own small bathroom... More

We found this hotel many many years ago and when we go to NY we always book there! It's very dirty and in the years is getting worse! But we go there because is very cheap comparing to all the hotels in Manhattan, there's bathroom in the room with a small tv. When you book the room you don't need... More

It was everything I expected and was looking for. Would have given it 5 stars if not for the few mosquitoes that got in the room each night. Seems the seal around the air-con unit was poor and allowed the critters in. Did my best to shorten the time the light was on before bed - seemed to limit their... More
