I stayed a couple of nights with my husband in a second floor room facing St. Mark's blvd. The room was tiny (about 10 x 10), but clean and comfortable with a queen bed against one wall, small mounted flat screen TV, large window to view the busy street below, sparse utilitarian furniture (only room to hang a few clothing... more

I have no complaints about this place - The staff were friendly and helpful, especially as this was my 1st time in the city & as a "young woman" on her own, there was NOT an issue. I went for a "Queen Size" room, which was big enough as I was on my own & it was located at the... more

This hotel is packed with hookers and gross johns with a few Euro tourists mixed in. The beds are terrible, the furniture has cigarette burns, really nasty. I would not go here again. more

My friends and I stayed here for one night and it was perfect for what we needed... just a place to sleep. Yes the rooms are small, but that was fine for us. Would i stay here for a week, no. The place was clean and we had no complaints. Its right in the hub of the Village and there... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at St. Marks Hotel for a long weekend stay in New York in September. It is a very basic hotel, no amenities, but it's great for what you need it for - a place to sleep! This was our first trip to NYC, so we really just wanted somewhere clean and affordable to rest our... more

We spent 7 nights at NYC during Christmas holiday and this hotel was the only with enough available rooms for all of us. Indeed, it is an overpriced hotel since the rooms are bare bones. The bathroom is tiny and all fans noisy, not to talk about the occasionally visit of cockroaches. All rooms were so small that two people... more

If you read this review please go through the whole thing as I'm starting with the negative points but they are a lot of positives too. My two friends and I booked a room for 4. We ended up only three going to st marks hotel and it was a good thing cause we didn't have a lot of space... more

i stayed at this hotel with my partner for 5 nights purely as a base to explore the city. my partner is a discerning traveller so was not overly impressed with the hotel. However, we paid about £90 per night and were about 5 minutes away from Astor Placer and 8TH Street stations which took us in to all the... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at St. Marks for 5 days at the end of November. We thought it was a great place for the price. The rooms were small, but I didn't expect a huge room in New York City. The bed was fine, not extremely comfortable, but after a long day of walking through the city, I slept... more

me and my boyfriend wanted to stay for 5 nights at this hotel but only stayed for one. the rooms do have new little flatscreen-tv's but they would better have invested the money in a working heating (it was only hot), a new carpet, streetnoise insulation or new matrasses. besides the broken heating, the incredible streetnoise (it doesn't make a... more
