After comparing apartment rentals, hotel special offers and hostels for a two-night stay in New York, we decided on St Mark's Hotel based on price and location, and were very happy with our choice. We had the two-room suite #20, which consists of two hotel rooms that have been joined, so that each room still has its own small bathroom... More

We found this hotel many many years ago and when we go to NY we always book there! It's very dirty and in the years is getting worse! But we go there because is very cheap comparing to all the hotels in Manhattan, there's bathroom in the room with a small tv. When you book the room you don't need... More

It was everything I expected and was looking for. Would have given it 5 stars if not for the few mosquitoes that got in the room each night. Seems the seal around the air-con unit was poor and allowed the critters in. Did my best to shorten the time the light was on before bed - seemed to limit their... More

This is a GREAT little neighborhood in NYC I never knew existed. Our room as small, but very clean. Not a lot of extra amenities, but perfectly fine for the 2 nights we were there. The staff was courteous and the price was right. If you want the Waldorf/Trump/Helmsley Palace experience, you're going to pay for it. However, if you're... More

I first stayed at this hotel well over 20 years ago because it was the cheapest I could find in NY, just slightly cheaper than the Y. Then it was a flea pit even renting out some rooms for "short Time" use. I re visited June 16th to June 21st 2014 and had a great stay. For location and price... More

I stayed at this hotel for 1 week and got back yesterday. The room was small but clean and the staff were very helpful. The only thing i didn't like about the hotel is that there wasn't a lift, but there was someone on hand to help me get my luggage to my room. The hotel is in a really... More

My second stay here and I'd be willing to say it was even better than the previous one. As usual the crew (especially Sammi) was incredibly accommodating, helping us with our every need. The rooms, as it is well known, are on the small side, but nice and clean, with good tv and very decent bathrooms, although this time our... More

What best about this hotel is location, very easy to find, easy to take subway to anywhere in Manhattan. It is very easy to find places to eat in that area especially Asian foods. Very cheap in such location. The room is not best, but livable, with sufficient facilities. I would stay there again.

Yet the rooms are simple and a bit small, the location is amazing, just in the middle of animated streets. We've got a 4 bedrooms on the court (not the street). The bad point the lack of space for the luggages. I would still recommend this hotel for those who are ready to share a bit of comfort against a... More

+ very, very friendly and helpful crew + hard to find chipier (only hostels) + clean but very old and "grey" + the area is young, eclectic, energic and interesting... so you dont stay in the room! - very basic comfort - noisy - room was incredibly small - tiny bathroom - TV didnt work - wifi costs like 5$...
