Friendly & helpful staff. Pretty basic room but was clean & was fit for purpose which was literally just sleeping in as there is too much to explore in nyc ! The location is amazing, 2 minutes walk from the middle of Times Square, 30 mins walking to Central Park, 30/40 mins to Empire State just great

If it had a kettle in the room ... it'd be perfect! Great bath and bathtub, very clean, comfortable bed, great customer service. I was allowed to check in by noon so I could join my walking tour without having to "wear" my backpack all over the city

We ran into our first issue right after check in when our keys didn't work. However, we were then upgraded to a larger room, which gave us a clue that customer service at the hotel would be excellent. The room was definitely large enough for my friend and myself, but the radiator was a nightmare. We also found the many... More

Booked a Suprise trip for my partner but couldn't afford a hotel such as the Hilton. I didn't expect much as it was cheap but we were thrilled to Bits with how close we were to Times Square. You are literally one block away. The staff were very friendly. The room was small but seen as we went there to... More

Having travelled from Ireland on my second trip to NYC the hotel couldn't have had a better location... close to everything we needed to make our stay fun and comfortable. The staff are nothing short of superb here and a true credit to the hotel management and owners. The hotel is very clean and very well maintained, the beds are... More

Stayed here in 2009 and again in January 2014. Basically it is the same - a bit old fashioned and very basic...just the room, but in a great location...just a couple of minutes walk from Times Square. It's noisy at night if you get a street side room but as New York is not a place for going to bed... More

I'm giving this hotel 4 stars, not because it is particularly posh but because it is amazingly affordable for Manhattan, in a superb location and has large rooms with separate bathrooms! I've stayed at more prestigious hotels in Manhattan, and enjoyed them less. I agree with so many of the reviewers here: Joey is hands down the best hotel employee... More

We stayed in this hotel in October 2014. In short: this is not a luxury hotel. There is no bar, no gym, no spa. But if you are in New York as a tourist and all day out exploring the city and all you are looking for is clean and comfortable place to stay, great central location, friendly helpful staff... More

The good: Great location Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful The bad: Really loud, from the radiator and from outside. The windows didn't fully close which didn't help with the noise, nor did it help with the temperature. We had to have the radiator on all the time to try and keep the room warm(was close to... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
