Perfect location for a viait to New York...out the door and you are in Times Square. Rooms are fine. We had a problem with door lock when we arrived and staff were very helpful in solving it.Also had a problem with shower and didn't have as much luck getting it fixed. Overall howevere a very pleasant stay and we would... More

The hotel was very basic but the location is second to NONE and the staff are extremely friendly. I would recommend this hotel to a friend. It is within walking distance to most attractions and time square is right around the corner. No bar but 2 Irish bar are 4 doors down where the staff are extremely friendly.

Third time to the big apple and this hotel is one I would definitely return to. Stayed for 4 nights in November and had a good sized room and bathroom. Good tip from previous reviewers was to ask for a room at the back if you want a quiet nights sleep, there's no view just a wall 4 metres away... More

Wow what a great hotel. 2 * rated and far exceeded my expectations. It's a no frills hotel simple facilities but offers everything you need for a New York trip. I travelled with some friends and three of us shared room 1012. The room was light, spacious, warm, had two extremely comfortable beds and a basic bathroom, small bath with... More

Have gone to this hotel many times over the last 8 years, so many times that the hotel clerk remembered me. This place is so convenient, just off of Times Square (on the 6th Avenue side). Booked it on Hotels.com for under $200. It's not a fancy hotel, but it is clean and family friendly. It's certainly not a five... More

First night in this hotel was in a room on the 3rd floor that faced West 45 th Street. Unfortunately when the air conditioner was installed, the space on either side of it was filled it single sheet of perspex and concertina vinyl neither of which were particularly effective in reducing the level of the street noise. The result was... More

You step up into this hotel, so getting luggage in is a struggle. This hotel is pretty basic, but what more do you want for your money? The two elevators are a little slow, one has padding all around and can make you feel a little claustrophobic. The rooms, as I previously read on TA were very small and the... More

If you want to be in the middle of the theater district in new York, the St. James is a great hotel for that. Just a half block from Times Square. The rooms are basically for sleeping, not lounging around, but if you are in New York you don't have time to lounge around. There is too much to see... More

It is a basic but clean hotel. The location is fantastic, right on Times Square. You can ask for a quieter room at the back or one on the front if you like the hustle and bustle. They have a concierge for booking trips and airport shuttle. The only complaint was the radiator made the room too hot, and there... More
