A great little hotel, right in the heart of Times Square. It is not as modern and flashy as the 5* hotels. But if you are going to New York. Are you seriously there to stay in your hotel room all day. I had a perfect sized room for one, my own big bed, bathroom with a bath and a... More

When we were looking for a hotel in NYC for our bucket list trip, we were looking for economical, great location to Times Square, and character. This hotel exceeds all 3. Joey had us laughing and was very attentive to all needs. He showed us where to stow our luggage our last day so we could continue with our activities... More

This is a small hotel (but has about 10 floors) and is situated 3 minutes walk to Time Square, right next to a Deli and an Irish Bar close by. Rooms are clean, one of the best beds I have slept in for comfort (no back ache !!) and a good flat screen tv on the wall. room does not... More

Stayed here for 5 nights and cannot fault it. Location is excellent, just off Times Square. Staff very friendly, room decent size and very clean. We took a trip to Washington DC for a couple days and hotel stored our luggage free of charge, a great stay and would stay here again. Positives all the way for this place! :)

Having stayed at another hotel a few streets away four years ago I was aware of the location of the St James and its closeness to Times Square and The Rockefeller Center. The occasion was my wife's 50th Birthday and we stayed for two nights in early December. Our check in was quick and easy and soon we were on... More

Hotel St James was just the ticket for our trip. It has no frills, but if you are visiting New York, you are not going to be sitting in your room are you? The rooms were a good size and had everything we needed. We had a ten day break in New York and every day clean towels and it... More

It's not a nice hotel, however The position and The size of The Rooms are very comfortable. There is also The possibility to organize airport transfer at good price. I pay 25$ to jfk airport. I advice it if you don't pretend too Much as just The position

Very clean hotel and staff was very helpful. Great deli next door for a quick bite to eat. The room was very comfortable and a great location if you're visiting New York for the theatre experience! Less than two blocks to Times Square. The price was good for that area. They have large lockers where you can store your bags... More

If you come to NYC to enjoy the city and not a fancy hotel....this is the place. Yes, it's a bit dated, but clean and serves the purpose of a good place to stay the night. Times Square is just a few leaps away, easy access to the subway, and a great deli next door for yummy breakfast. My only... More

Stayed here for $350 a night. No hot water in December. Had let the hot run for 10 minutes and called front desk to let them know of my problem and was told to let it run for 5 minutes or so. told them I had let it run for 10 minutes already, they said be patient. I let it... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
