I really liked this hotel, it was very clean and well maintained and 2 minutes walk from Times Square. The room was pretty tiny but that was fine, we didn't spend much time in it because there was so much to see in the city. It was pretty basic in terms of services offered, there was no food services in... More

We stayed here for 3 nights when we first arrived in America. First off... the location is fantastic, minutes to everything you need..Times Square right around the corner. However, it could do with a facelift. Felt very old and rather dirty. Sockets were hanging out of the wall.. we didn't feel safe using them! The shower dripped out and the... More

After reading some reviews I was a little worried about staying here but there was no need to be. Firstly the location is superb, literally a couple of minutes and your in time square. The hotel was clean and room had everything you needed, tv, ac, iron etc.. Also for anyone from England staying there was a channel that had... More

We stayed two nights, mid-August 2014 at this nice hotel with a fabulous location...But, enough about the hotel...Let us tell you about the staff. They were wonderful, especially this one guy we call "Joey From Brooklyn!" He was the friendliest, most helpful front desk person we've ever met. To the owner(s) of this hotel: Give this guy a raise! P.S.... More

We stayed in St James for five nights. Our room included two queen sized beds at the atrium side of the hotel (away from the street), a digital tv, modest sized bathroom, chair and table, and looked to have been recently refurbished. Overall this is an excellent value for money hotel in the new york. It may not be luxurious... More

If it weren't for Joey who worked the front desk, I would have gave this hotel 1 Star. I loved his personality and hospitality! He made the hotel a GREAT place to stay! The Front Desk Manager, Margaret Lis was very rude, she has no reason being in customer service. This hotel is truly in the perfect location if you... More

Been to New York a few times and this has to have been the best location for getting around New York without travelling in, and the time that involves. We were very happy with this hotel. Location makes up for any luxuries that you might find lacking, although saying that it has all the essentials and is clean and beds... More

Stayed 2 nights. Friendly, affordable and clean, close to Times Sq. Simple traditional decor. We got 2 good sized rooms with comfy beds. Street facing room was a bit noisy, other rear facing room was quiet. Good location and a handy deli next door for late night snacks!

When I travel to NYC, I'm going to explore the city (not hang out in a hotel). All I need is a clean room to sleep in and a clean bathroom to shower, and this fits the bill. No frills, but none needed! The rooms are large and clean, the bathrooms are perfectly fine, and you cannot beat the location... More

Great location within walking distance of Times Square and Rockefeller Plaza. Several nearby places to eat. Room was clean with plenty of space for four travelers. Only issue was lack of hot water on two mornings. Would stay here again.
