The Alex is now the Wyndham Midtown. The mixed reviews on this hotel make sense to me now. We celebrated my wife's 60th birthday in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, suite with a kitchen. Just returned from NYC and stayed one night at The Alex. The room was clean but average, the bed was comfortable. The shower had no pressure and the shower head was too close to the wall . The staff were friendly.
