Great location & room was spacious - however I booked through a work travel site and I was not aware that the restaurant was under construction - so that left me a bit disappointed; Lesson learned - I will check hotel websites directly before booking!

Good location. Very quiet rooms. Staff moved us to the 28th Floor as a "gift" for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Attentive and helpful staff. Hotel undergoing renovations while we were there. December 2014. Still very clean all in all for the amount of work being done. No restaurant at the moment either, but staff recommended the "PUB" next door which... More

The staff here was so wonderful. I was in contact with the manager before our stay so I can have wine and flowers for my girlfriend and she went above and beyond. Even upgraded us to a suite!!!! Everything was also very clean and the entire staff was friendly. Highly recommended.

We arrived a little early and were told we had to wait as our room wasn't ready....ok....understandable....when we came back at 4 it took another half hour to get keys to a room....just before we got on the elevator, the desk yelled for us to return as we had been given the wrong room. So another half hour late, we... More

Very helpful staff from front desk to maintenance staff. Great location for easy walking trips. The lounge on the 33rd floor was great. The outside space would be great in the warmer months. I do wish I had asked to be on a higher floor even on the 18th there was a lot of street noise. I expected sirens and... More

Wife and I reserved a 4 night stay Dec 5-8 with our Wyndham points. I'd read the other reviews and was concerned, so I emailed ahead, stating some requests. We arrived, checked in easily, found our room (Queen Studio 2206) ready for us. Everything worked, was clean, view was descent, elevators worked fine, and most importantly the staff was helpful,... Checked in and the room was not made up. Went to dinner, came back and still not clean.....too late to have it cleaned so some maintenance persons brought up sheets and pillows.....we had to make our own bed??? Light over the desk was stuck in the on position (fire hazard)....and it never got fixed after many calls. Third night we... More

This hotel is a fairly recent acquisition by Wyndham and they are open while they are still doing renovations. As such, if you are someone that cannot tolerate any rough edges this hotel is not for you, at least not yet. It is also part Wyndham hotel and part Wyndham timeshare. For both parts some rooms are renovated and some... More

Nothing good. Old hotel, poor service. However, most of the hotels in NYC are like that. We spent around USD 390 / night. This region don´t have too many hotels and we needed to be close to the United Nations, thats why we were in this hotel. For the same poor quality you can find cheaper options.

Firstly let get one thing clear. This hotel is in a great location. A couple of blocks from Grand Central, so easy to get anywhere. Secondly, the room was clean and comfortable, and everything worked. But the reasons for the less than enthusiastic review are simple: 1). This is very expensive for what is effectively a 2-3 star hotel. $... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
