The footprint and location may well qualify this hotel as a boutique, though the height and number of rooms are pushing the envelope. That said, we were five and found the two rooms comfortable, relaxing and quite soundproof to the inside of the floors. It was obvious that the hotel has undergone renovations quite recently and this left us quite... More

Like many New York hotels the rooms here are VERY small, but they are clean and have everything you could need. The staff here was AMAZING very helpful and friendly and always greeted you when you were coming or leaving the hotel. If you are looking for a hotel outside of the craziness that is times square, this is a... More

I've stayed here several times. Prices for this hotel can range from modest to very expensive depending on time of year and day of week but I've been fortunate enough to get deals each time. The front desk staff are welcoming (not always the case even at luxury hotels). The rooms are clean and comfortable (albeit small but it is... More

Stayed here w/ the family over the weekend and I was pleasently surprised with the hotel. The front desk staff was welcoming, helpful and accomodating. We requested a small refridgerator and extra towels and they were brought to our room immediately. The room is average size for a NYC hotel room (ie. SMALL) but it was adequate for our stay.... This hotel is an average hotel in New York although I expect more from a Sheraton property. - The location of this hotel is probably it's best feature as it is located in the heart of Chelsea and the Fashion district. -The Customer Service by the front desk staff is impeccable, they are friendly and go out of their way... I travel to New York for work and this hotel is one of the few that we stay in. We stay during the weeknights not weekends and it's quiet. Good service, good location. It is on the smaller side and more intimate. The bar staff are always friendly. Decent priced hotel for a good stay!

The staff was very helpful. The room was smaller as is typical in Manhatten but it did have two full size beds. We were on the 22nd floor with a great view of the financial district. Security is good. You must have a key card to go up on the elevator. Free coffee and tea in the morning in the... More

I will start by saying I never complained to the hotel about the AC not cooling. I didn't want anyone in my room and I was very busy there for work I had no time to mess with it or change rooms. Our AC was awful! We had to sleep with the window open, it only opened 2 inches. We... More

Thank you for your feedback Sonya R. It is our company's policy that the windows do not open more than 4 inches wide. Nevertheless, we wish we had the chance to fix the a/c unit, as we would have loved to make your stay exceptional. Of course, as mentioned there is no excuse and if you read other reviews we... The staff were exceedingly nice. Our room was on the 4th floor overlooking a very loud bar. So loud I thought the window might be open. The AC rattled horrendously so we couldn't use it to drown out the outside noise. The toilet took five minutes to fill. Everything else was good. Bed was very comfortable and shower was good.... Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighborhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
