This is probably my tenth stay at the Mandarin Oriental in NYC and I have never been disappointed. From the check in to check out with room service and housekeeping in between the service has always been quick, helpful, and courteous. The quality of the rooms have always been first rate and the meeting areas, lounge, and dining areas are... More

I stayed at the Mandarin for 2 nights in early February 2016. Quite easily one of the best Hotels I have stayed at . Looked after very well from the moment i checked in . I was given a great room overlooking the Park . Asiate is great for breakfast with views over Central Park, a perfect start to the... More

The Mandarin Oriental was hands down one of the nicest hotels in the in the area. Service was impeccable and staff was genuinely friendly and unobtrusive. The room was very roomy and tastefully decorated. Colors were very soothing. The room over looked the Hudson River and took advantage of the sunset. In the wintertime Central Park looks dreary as the... More

The stay starts before you arrive! Every request we had was accommodated. Our room was ready early so they allowed for an early check in. The front desk staff couldn't have been more welcoming. The lobby is amazing with a perfect view of central park during the day and night. I attached some day pictures of our arrival into the... More

I was so happy that we have changed hotel to MO NY for last night of my gateway weekend. This hotel is right by Central Park and connected to the Jazz at Lincoln center. It was super cold on the day of check in, and the doorman Gabriel was welcoming us with a very warm smile right when we got... More

We stayed at the MO for three nights this past weekend, early February 2016. All in all I would rate the hotel highly, we had a lovely room with views of Central Park from the 49th floor. The room was not huge but with the picture windows spanning the entire length and height of the wall overlooking the park made... More

I try to go to an Afternoon Tea in any city I go to and the Mandarin Oriental takes the cake. It was my mother's birthday and they organised for a beautiful window overlooking central parl. The service was great, food was delicious and it's something we will all remember for a very long time. If you're a fan of... More

One of our goto hotels when we stop over in Manhattan. The lobby on the 35th floor has a great view overlooking Central Park and Columbus circle. Most rooms have a really nice view of the city from high above. The pool and fitness are a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle outside. On our last visit there was... More

Superb location, great staff, outstanding restaurant and the best concierge team in NYC. We were smitten by this property which is leagues above some of the other Mandarin properties we have stayed and for us, one if the best hotels in NYC.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
