We chose the Hampton Inn - Seaport because of it's close proximity to Pace University where my daughter had a graduate school interview. She wanted to stay close to the school so that she could get to know the neighborhood, subway lines, etc. The hotel is small and in an older building, however, we found it to be clean and... More

I checked in to the hotel last night and they put me on the C level. This is essentially the basement...next to our room was a storage closet. The room was clean but small. The problem was all night long staff was in and out of the closet and the door kept slamming making it impossible to sleep. This went... More

Hotel is in a good location, and offers reasonable value in terms of price and free breakfast. A single slow elevator to serve 9 floors can be an issue. During my stay, one side of the building is next to another that is under construction. Bright construction light outside my window pointing my way all night, and woken up to... More

The staff at this Hampton Inn were exemplary: their knowledge of local amenities were second to none, and I would be more than happy to stay here again. The location was great for my business trip - my only complaint was that it isn't a bit closer to a subway stop (though 5 blocks isn't a bad stroll if it's... More

This was a quick trip to NY on a long holiday weekend to see family and some sights. The price was great, but the level of service and friendliness was more than we expected! This is a good clean budget hotel, with breakfast included and plenty of coffee and hot chocolate in a nice self service bar. We visited the... More

If you want to be close to lower Manhattan AND you want to enjoy the restaurants and sights of the Seaport area, we found this hotel to be just what you need. We walked to Ground Zero. Walked to Broadway and the BigBus Tour route, and also spent time at Il Brigante & Acqua restaurants in Seaport and Pier 16... More

We stayed there in 2010 some time ago. Can remember the rooms were well appointed and clean. Breakfast was included and love the fact that you could make your own breakfast waffles. The hotel was in walking distance of most attractions and we felt safe staying there.

This Hampton Inn had no microwaves in the room, nor refrigerators, and the rooms were very small. The breakfasts I had were very substantial, albeit a little overcooked (i.e., omelets), and I was in walking distance of the meetings I needed to get to.
