Reasonable rates, clean room, and plenty of outlets for charging your devices. The room is decent sized, and the beds are comfortable. Staff is very friendly, and helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay that's close to everything.

This Hampton Inn is centrally located, clean, and the staff is excellent. I highly recommend this hotel when visiting NYC! Short distance from many restaurants, shopping, and Time Square. Also, not too far from Madison Square Garden. Easy access to subway to get Downtown or Central Park. We used subway and Uber to get to these places which worked great.

Exceptionally nice rooms for a Hampton Inn, great location close to subway. Decent sized bathroom. Staff and service were excellent. Breakfast was average but its free. Valet parking very expensive and a little slow.

This Hampton is located on the east edge of Chelsea, within walking distance of Madison Square Park and the Flat Iron Building. The subway at 23rd and 5th Ave is convenient, but don't ignore Eataly Pasta on same corner. A pleasurable shopping and dining experience. For a far-out immersive theatre experience, try "Sleep No More" at the McKittrick Hotel, 532... More

Nothing but trouble with the wifi connection, and the front desk staff could not resolve it. Not sure if it was lack of training or caring, but I am quite displeased with my stay. Unfortunate too, as it is a quality property, clean, etc. Just can't get any work done there, which is a big issue for me.

That really does sum this place up. It's nothing special but is efficient and good location if you want Chelsea. We ended up (it was a family holiday) spending more time in midtown and wish we'd stayed 20 blocks further north, in the forties, but it's not too far. Breakfast was OK - the standard fare - but it's included... More

This a great hotel...extremely close to attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were quite small but it didn't matter as we spent our days out.. we liked that it was close to the subway and only blocks from the Empire State Building. We would stay here again.

Neat little place, clean and tidy but a little tired. Still good value for the price. Breakfast was a treat, very busy but very good. Staff were fantastic, even if the people in front of us were asking stupid questions, bloody tourists! Good little spot and well worth it.

Great service and this hotel is really well situated. The subway access is just steps away from the hotel and is for the 6th avenue line which takes you to many of the central downtown Manhattan attractions. The room was renovated, a little small, but that seems to be the norm for NYC. I really liked the modern look to... More

The rooms are quite small but of course that's the average size in Manhattan. They were nicely done and had a nice modern feel and look to it. Water pressure was great for a high floor and the view was great looking toward the financial district seeing the Freedom Tower towering in the cityscape. The hotel is in a great... More

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighborhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
