Stayed just one night as we had a late train from D.C into Penn station and this hotel is right down the block. Check in was quick and flawless. Rooms were tight with two queen beds, 3 people and luggage, but it was do-able. Never heard any street noise or neighbor noise so were we lucky or is this hotel... More

I stayed at the Hampton Inn in December 2014. It took a while to get me checked in, but the guy behind the desk was gracious and apologetic. I was due to stay for 4 nights, but I checked out after 2 nights. The second night I was due to say I returned to my room to find it had... More

My boyfriend & I stayed the night for our holiday party & much needed date night. Reception was friendly & checked to see if we needed anything an hour after we arrived. It was closed to everything for us to get to work the next day. will definitely stay there again. Melissa

We have two little kids, and if anyone has traveled with little ones, you know how much helpful staff are appreciated. While at the Hampton I would take one child downstairs for breakfast, so my second child could sleep. The staff were bending over to assist - getting me food and drinks, and helping to clean up after our mess... More

Spent 1 week at this hotel while on business. The staff was wonderful, helpful and friendly. The breakfast is GREAT! The fitness room is small, and laundry room adequate. The room (king size bed) was small with somewhat dated furnishings and carpeting. Keeping the heating fan on at all times blocked any outside noise. Could not hear into the other... More

Lovely well maintained hotel. Pet friendly! Very helpul staff, full breakfast in AM. Helped with THEATER tickets. Parking across street at reduced rate with stamped ticket from hotel. 1 block from subway, cabs everywhere. Clean room, fresh smell. Plenty of fluffy towels. No microwave or refrig, but coffee maker. Maids always available, clean elevators, stairwell, front entrance of hotel. Rooms... More

Spent four nights at the Hampton recently, and we would highly recommend it! Choose this hotel because we love Manhattan, and it is a more affordable hotel in a great neighborhood. Convenient to subway, taxis, Chelsea Market, Eataly, 6th Ave. - and a nice walk to the West Village area, Bryant Park, 5th Avenue. Our room was very clean, more... More

My girlfriend had never been to NYC, and has always wanted to visit. Finally, we bought bus tickets, planned a trip, and booked rooms at the Hampton Inn Manhattan Chelsea. Little did my girlfriend know, I was proposing to her under the Rockefeller Christmas Tree. Upon check in (at 7 AM when you usually cannot get hotel rooms), we asked... More

So - if you've been held a prisoner in a dungy prison for a while - then get out and get to stay in a Motel 6 - the Motel 6 seems pretty great, right? I get the feeling if we went back to this Hampton, a little of the luster will have faded and it may be a two... More

I spent three nights at this hotel and would highly recommend it. It was well located within a block of the subway and Eataly. I had a slight problem with my lock and called maintenance and he was at my door within 2 minutes. Very pleasant fellow. Also the young woman who took care of us at breakfast each morning... More

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighborhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
