The price was not expensive as compare to other hostels in Manhattan especially with its location. The hostel was a bit aged. What disappointed me was the security. I stored my luggage in the office and the staff did not require me to show any proof to retrieve it back...so don't leave any personal or valuable items inside. Also make... More

I enjoyed my 8-night stay with a groep of 24 people. Perfect for inexpensive trip, the cheapest in Manhattan I guess. Close to the metro. Friendly staff and a nice kitchen. The beds are quite old, however, not uncomfortable. Strange was that we were not allowed to take our suitcases to our rooms.

Such a disappointment of a hostel. The hostel is unclean (even though you have to be out of there between 11-3 for them to clean)!! There was also no wifi, the reasoning was to promote socialising between guests, which is nice if the guest actually came down to the social area! We sat down stairs in the communal nearly every... It wasn't a bad stay, it wasn't a brilliant stay. It's location is faultless, 1-2 blocks from a subway and is close to shops and cafes. The room's are ok but incredibly basic. I completely understand on their reasons for not having wifi but as i was there on the end of my trip, i reeeeally needed wifi to sort... More

The location is just perfect, it was my first criterion to choose but I didn't regret it. The common room is great. You can read, cook, chill out as long as you want while meeting great people. The neighborhood is so victorian, it's great to walk around to most places. I would definitely recommend it!

I was looking for some accomodation in nyc, and I choose international student center mainly because of localisation. How lucky I am that I have chosen that place! I met there people from all over the world. Everyone is open minded and sociable. Every evening we talk about what we saw, if we recommend this places or not, we gave... More

This hostel was one of the cheapest I found to stay for one night at the start of my backpacking trip around the US. Whilst being clean and well-located, it just was;t the standard that I would expect for the price in any other city. I fully expected to pay a high price in NYC, but was a bit disappointed... More

Has a great localization, close the Central park, 1 block to subway.. safe place, close all restaurants and markets. Is really good! Tem uma localização privilegiada, perto do metro e a 2 quadras do central park. Seguro, perto de restaurantes e mercados. muito bom.

Me and my sister planned a very quick and inexpensive trip to New York, New York and our first thing to do was find something that was cheap, but still accessible and good. Place was fun, not real clean,. but not dirty. To expected from an international center. There is a central area downstairs for you to cook, store your... More

I stayed here just the one night last June before I was picked up for camp. The room was very comfortable, quite large and had a fan. There were a lack of plug sockets but the building seemed very old so it was not really a shock. You had to leave all luggage downstairs but this was safely stored and... More
