My sister and I stayed for 7 nights in December and I could say that it was really awesome. I loved the people on the front desk. Shoutout to Peter who was very nice because there was a night when one of our brazilian roommates whom we only met during our stay was really drunk and she started making everyone... More

It's not a palace but the position is perfect, right in the center of Manhattan. it's also pretty cheap... just don't look at the dirt here and there and u'll be fine. U have to pay for wifi, there's a kitchen downstairs and a comfortable living room. Staff is almost every time friendly

We arrived at the Hostel at around 8pm to find a stoned receptionist who was rude and unfriendly. He was completely incapable of his job and totally unprofessional in addition he was so spaced out he "forgot" to mention that the office IS LOCKED BETWEEN 11PM AND 8AM so if you want to leave between these hours you cannot gain... This hostel was clean and was in a good location next to Central Park, it was quite a walk into Times Square you would probably be better off getting the subway as it was over 40 blocks to walk. The annoying thing about this hostel was that you couldn't take your cases into the rooms they had to stay downstairs... More

I had been thinking for a while before giving it 2-star. I usually don't expect much from a hostel, but I have to say this: it's below the average, compared to the hostels I used to stay, say, in Boston or Washington DC. The only good thing about it is that it has a great location, very close to Central... More

The hostel is correct. The main appeal is the location ! Right next to central park ! Then the room and bathroom are clean but could be restored a bit. The staff was ok, there are maps available and tips about what to do.

I came across this hostel on hostelworld and its price called my attention. 40 bucks, taxes included. That's a great deal for a. NYC and b. the Upper West Side. It's half a street away from the C train. The hostel is alright. It has a lot of space in the basement to hang out and where you could prepare... More

I would recommend try your best to avoid this hostel. I was initially happy about the price and the location. I don't mind get sheets and make bed by myself nor walk to the forth floor(no elevator) with my heavy backpack. But the front desk gay is extremely rude and makes stupid mistakes. He doesn't look people in the eye... More

It's clean, cheap, cozy and the location is great. It's just one block from the subway and right next to Central Park. Nice neighborhood and good service. there's no wifi and i had to leave my suitcase in the office. But the let me know about that in advance and for the price I think it was a good deal.... More
