I stayed at the Wyndham Garden Chinatown in May and had a very nice experience. The room was a nice size for New York and had a shared balcony that provided great views of the city. It was my first stay in Chinatown and I was thrilled with the restaurant choices in the area. There were numerous interesting and eclectic... More

I travel often for work and for pleasure, and this is the only hotel I stay in when I visit Manhattan. The staff is polite and helpful. Every room I've stayed in has been impeccably clean. Rooms have great city views, and the property is conveniently located near subways stops- also easy to get to Brooklyn. I would highly recommend... More

This hotel is beautiful, clean and steps from the Subway. Little Italy is two blocks away. SoHo is just a few blocks farther. Our room had pristene Empire State Building views. The staff is eager to please. The gym is adequate. Breakfast was okay, but you can get to a LI cafe with sidewalk seating in two minutes. This is... More

This is a hidden little gem right in the heart of Chinatown. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Massy and Vanessa who were beyond hospitable. We enjoyed speaking to them on our way out of the hotel every morning. They took care of us from start to finish. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel... More

If you are valet parking your vehicle with the hotel there is no clear designated spot however given NYC I guess this is the norm. Hotel itself is pretty clean and staff was friendly and as the title states great location. No real need to drive anywhere as everything is out that front door. The bathroom shower didnt make much... We understand that our hotel might be a bit different than some people are used to when it comes to the layout and size, but we are very happy that you enjoyed our "ultra-cool rooms," as you stated nicely! It's great to hear that our staff gave you great service and was always there to help. Thanks for your recommendation,... More

The hotel is small but it's in a great location. Next to a big park, walking distance to everything. in the heart of Chinatown. Friendly staff. The only thing I didn't like was the bathroom has a big frosted glass adjoining the bedroom, so when the light is on in the bathroom, it lights up the bedroom too.

We completely understand that our hotel may not be for everyone, especially those used to more traditional hotels. Our design is definitely more modern than most hotels out there, but we take pride in providing something truly unique to our guests. All of us here at the Wyndham Garden Chinatown are so happy that you enjoyed our staff and service,... More

Hotel rooms in Manhattan are notoriously small. This room was small, but very efficiently arranged. We had two excellent views of New York, one to the North, another to the east and south (we were on the 12th floor of 16, corner room). The small closet easily hung ten items easily and included ironing board, iron and safe. Bed was... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
