It's not hard to find a hotel in New York City -- the only issues are specific location and price. Even location is not a big problem, so it all comes down to how much you are willing to spend -- and what you get for what you spend. My Wife and I have stayed in several different hotels around... This hotel is an excellent choice when visiting the city. My wife and I had a king bed with a great view of the city. We were able to check in early which allowed us to rest before we ventured out. It is just a short walk to Macy's, Times Square and Rockefeller Center. Highly recommend!

The Hyatt Inn is a very good hotel and totally recommended for those who go to NY. It is just 3 blocks away for the Empire State, 5 minutes walking from the Times Square, 15 minutes walking from the Central Park (5th and 59th). You have the Penn Station 2 minutes away. The rooms are beatiful and big. Some of... More

Overall all ammenities were very good and the service was good. The room was clean and up to expectations. It was very busy and very difficult to get into the dining area and get breakfast. The staff was trying to keep up, but that looked like a challenge. Overall everything was very good.

This was my first visit to a Hyatt Place. This trip I was on a budget, so I cashed in my Hyatt points and stayed here. The location is a good one: particularly convenient to theatre district and restaurants. The room, although small and really not sized for two people, is well laid out with everything a single occupant needs,... More

We were extremely satisfied with our stay at the Hyatt Place in NYC. The location was great....only 2 blocks from Herald Sq, Macy's, Empire State Bldg and a subway station....the latter made the rest of NYC within easy access. Room (2308) was a King with view and was very clean and contemporary. Staff was superb, esp the Mgr, Charmain and... More

We were told that we could get pillow and comforter that was not down and that was not the case. There are only 2 elevators for 24 floors and so you have to wait and the worst is if you stay on the street side there is construction on the street and every time a car goes over the street... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Hyatt and would recommend it to anyone visiting!! Request to stay on a higher level if you want the noise to be completely eliminated. We were on the 6th floor and could hear some trucks in the am. The room was extremely neat and modern.

The Hyatt Place is ideally located for various attractions in New York. Excellent breakfast was included in the cost which saved having to look for somewhere to eat each morning. The staff were extremely helpful, bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. The only downside was that we sometimes had quite a wait for the lifts.

I can't review the Hotel since they cancelled my reservation but I can tell you the Hyatt policies and customer service at this hotel are horrible. I arrived at this hotel at 9pm to find out they cancelled my room and did not have any rooms available. The credit card company had issued me a new card since I made... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
