NY hotels usually have tiny rooms with sofabeds or very small rooms unless you book your stay in a 4 or 5 stars hotel. This Hyatt has decent sized clean room in a convenient location in downtown. The receptionist were helpful & friendly. We had " Deluce" help us with booking tours around the city & take care of all... More

I stayed at the Hyatt MidTown for Toy Fair at Javitz Center. It was conveniently located and at the right price. The staff was friendly, the room clean and bigger than your average NY hotel. The breakfast buffet is nice and varied.

great location however, room had a musty smell and was tired and worn.Very slow elevator. Dirty glasses left in stairwells. Breakfast area crowded and food was not quickly replenished. Dirty dishes left in cart for far too long in eating area. Also told taxi to airport was best deal when booked at hotel....was not...book your own taxi. I was offered... More

By Manhattan standards, the room was spacious. Also, beautifully appointed with ultra modern decor. And the view out our window was AMAZINGLY: the Empire State Building was so close it looked like we could reach out and touch it. Ask for a room on a higher floor facing the street to truly appreciate that view. Check in was easy, and... More

This hotel is nicely located near some interesting things to see. But the hotel looks and feel budget, the room is small and colors are just dull. The windows are leaking both cold and noice from outside, we had problem sleeping with our room on third floor facing the street, avoid this if you can. Otherwise staff was friendly and... More

Perfect if you're not looking for a grand lobby and multiple dining options in your NYC hotel. Perfectly located for access to Penn Station, Subways, and an easy walk to Times Square. Hotel is clean and modern, staff is welcoming and well informed. Limited space to meet in the lobby, so best if you're not meeting friends or associates here.... More

In NYC it is tough to find a room large enough for a family, the Hyatt Place is a great family destination with large comfortable rooms! The morning breakfast is a great add on and made the stay even more convenient.

Hyatt Place Midtown South is central to everywhere you want to be. The closest subway station is two blocks and easily accessible. As far as cons: Elevator's are slow and breakfast is crowded. Other than those two qualms, we had a great experience at the Hyatt Place. Rooms are on the smaller side, but be real with your expectations and... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
