I had review this from a previous visit but this seems to vanished. I'll keep it short. Staff mostly disinterested, self-proclaimed 'brilliant breakfast' didn't have bagels one day, there was no hot water on one of three days (and the staff members really didn't care), a request to repair a light bulb wasn't dealt with, I had to push to... Hotel 41 is a former hostel, and the fact that is now called a Hotel didn't change anything inside - it remains kept as any hostel, relaxed and not too cozy. There is one thing that I can say for sure about this place - the location is absolutely perfect. It is two blocks from Times Square, with a budget-friendly... More

The location is GREAT, and I can't say I'm disappointed with our stay. But, I guess I just wish I knew I was going to be staying at a hostel before we made our reservation and got to our room. The clean room had a smaller than twin bunk bed and single bed as well for the three of us... More

Was a hotel converted into a hostel so all the facilities are well designed, perfect location and a bargain at times square! the bunk beds are screwed to the walls so they wont move if the other person move while sleeping each room have its own bathroom

First of all, lets clear something up, this is not a hotel, its a hostel. My two friends and I were looking for something close to the center of Times Square, so I must say that this hostel is in the center of Times Square. However, the look of the room was shocking, it literally looks like a prison cell.... More

We only stayed here for one night before going to Washington, as it's a stones throw from Times Square and Port Authority bus station. It was about $200 for the two of us for one night, which even tho the great location, I thought was a bit steep. The room was perfectly fine. Only thing I can fault is it... More

This hotel was perfect for what my friends and I needed. We are all 19-20 year old's. The three of us needed a cheap place in the heart of the city. That is what we got, by no means is this the Ritz, but it never claims to be. The room was small, just like our college dorm, so we... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
