Stayed at this hotel for five nights in September. The location is very good, right next to Times Square, Port authority bus station and subway station. The room was big and quiet. It had a bunkbed and one single bed, all equally uncomfortable with plastic covered mattresses and uncomfortable fleece blankets. The carpet under the beds had obviously not been... More

It really depends what you want out of your New York hotel as to whether you should book here. The only real pro is the location, it is right in Times Square, just down a slightly quieter street. It is opposit Times Square 42nd street subway which has great lines. That's really where it ends. We had a private double... More

So was really thinking of changing our booking after so many complaints, but seriously this place is called Common Sense. Firstly - Don't think its a resort of a hotel chain, its simply budget accom, with bunks and a small bathroom, perfect for 2 people in a room, to sum it up whilst we where there a school group from... In the heart of times square, near of absolutely everything, Equit Point have a really helpfull staff. My room in the 4 floor it was quiet, despite it is in the most busy part of the city, the wifi worked perfectly. The subway station in the front of the hotel door, serves at several lines, downtown and uptown. Just one... More

Me and my partner stayed here for three nights at the beginning of September and it was absolutely perfect for our needs. It was excellent value for money as it in bang in the middle of Times Square so you are just seconds away from New York fun! The desk staff were very helpful, informing us about airport transportation and... More

We stayed at Equity point for 3 nights in June. As we are a couple we had a private room and bathroom. The hotel is in an amazing location, just off Times Square. The staff are incredibly helpful and the hotel has free wifi! Do not be put off by the 'Hostel' title, the facilities, room and location were to... More

I stayed during the summer, it has good rooms especially if you are in small groups (like 3/4 people), your group can take the whole room and have a bathroom for only you guys. The A/C works pretty well and the breakfast was good! Price was good as well!

We stayed here on two separate occasions in September, both for two nights either side of a week long road trip to Pennsylvania and Canada. I honestly can't believe some of the negative reviews on here about this place. This is my honest review..... Firstly you get what you pay for. Therefore you won't get unbridled luxury at the Equity... More

Ignore the negative people moaning about the standards of this hotel as they are either way too stuck up or are 5 star hotel goers who thought they would dabble in the world of hostelling which clearly was not for them and need to find some sort of excuse for their issues by blaming the hostel itself. We stayed at... More

I think TA's description for this place is setting unfair expectations. This place sells itself as a hostel, not a boutique hotel (it was formerly hotel 41). It isn't a rowdy hostel at all and the staff are super nice. Toiletries aren't provided but towels are changed daily if needed. Beds weren't made daily which I didn't expect for a... More
