This was our second visit to the hotel in six months. My wife and I traveled this time with our sons for an after Christmas trip. We booked two rooms directly through the hotel and received lower than internet prices. Our sons (college age) had a king room and liked it. It does not have any view and is very... More

We spent a day during the holidays. The hotel rate was excellent considering the location. Few blocks from Time Square and Rockefeller Center. Steps from 5th Avenue. The room was small , clean but a little noisy. Well, but nothing is perfect. The breakfast was included, not too much variety but good to start the day. Staff was really friendly.... More

The location is good and the price of the hotel is reasonable for Manhattan but you get what you pay for. The rooms are fine but small and noisy. I found the front desk staff to be rude and unhelpful and the customer service is non-existent. I had a number of issues when I stayed at the hotel (a fortnight... More

Dear Ben N, Thank you for your honest review. We are very sorry that you felt the rooms were small and noisy. Some of our rooms are on the small side, but most are typical size for rooms in Manhattan. We are also sorry that you felt the front desk staff was rude. We continually train our staff to be... Spent 5 nights at this hotel with my brother during the first half of july 2011 we trusted the good reviews of trip advisor and I totally agree with the opinions of the other travellers, the hotel is small and cozy, we found a friendly environment and the concierge was really helpfull with all the bookings for the attractions and... I've stayed here quite a few times. Great staff, great hotel, always easy and effortless stay. Great bargain for Manhattan, hands down. The whole Applecore group is amazing, I've stayed at several locations. Very consistent, across the board. GREAT housekeeping. I always check their site before anything else. 99% of the time I go with an Applecore hotel, The Hotel... More

The service here was awful. We were insulted by the housekeeping staff in the elevator. when I reported the incident to the manager the next day they asked why I didn't say anything sooner. I was so furious the day before when they had called me fat right to my face, that I had to spend 12 hours calming down... More

Read the many reviews on Tripadviser and decided to book for a 1 noght trip to the city. Price was right and were we surprised when we checked in. Room was a good size, two queen beds, very clean and fresh. Have to say it was one of the quietest rooms we have stayed in. Could not complain about 1... More

Was very pleased when we arrived at this hotel. It was clean and in a great location. After a train ride down to the city and a night of sightseeing we were ready for a good night sleep. Went to bed at 11pm only to be awakened at 1:30am to water driping. Opened the bathroom door to a shower of... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
