Clean and safe with a decent breakfast. Concierge was a little snippy and gave incorrect information. Free Wi-Fi. Quiet and close to Broadway with a comfortable bed. Stayed with my 11 year old granddaughter. Close to Top of the Rock, restaurants and Broadway, (about 11/2 blocks from Broadway.

This hotel has the perfect location, the rooms are of a good size for New York , I'm a travel consultant and would highly recommend this hotel. Free breakfast is great and you can't get a better location. I would have no hesitation of going back. Reception was always clean and the little bar on the second floor was reasonable... More

This nice little hotel is a smaller building with 14 floors just a few blocks from Times Square, surrounded by all kinds of restaurants and activities. I'll start off by saying avoid the 14th floor if you want quiet. The hotel has a bar on the 14th floor that opens in the evening. If your room is anywhere near the... More

This was a great place to stay. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The rooms were neat and clean. Very convenient to everything we wanted to see in New York and to public transportation. Having the continental breakfast saved us time in the morning so we could get to sightseeing fast. I can highly recommend this hotel as a... More

When we first arrived we were given a room on a lower floor but immediately switched to the 11th, hoping for more light. Unfortunately, the room was dark and dingy. Low water pressure in the shower. There is only one elevator, so it took forever to get anywhere. We had to walk out to 5th Ave with our luggage in... More

Dear DebPrins, Thank you for your review. We’re sorry you did not enjoy your experience. Unfortunately, not all of our rooms have great natural light because of surrounding buildings. This is not uncommon in hotels in Manhattan where buildings are tall and close together. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by the elevator. The elevators can get a bit... More

After reading many negative reviews of this hotel I was a little concerned about staying here. However the reviews were completely unfair as the hotel was excellent. Yes is was a little weird eating off paper plates and using plastic cutlery at breakfast and the breakfast was very carb heavy but having breakfast included in New York is a rarity.... More

Dear ruby m, Thank you for your review. We’re glad you enjoyed your stay. Unfortunately, we use disposable plates and cutlery because we do not have space for washing dishes. We hope you enjoyed your time in New York City and we hope to see you again soon. Liz from Apple Core Hotels More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
