The staff was very courteous and helpful. The hotel is located walking distance from important attractions, such as the Museum of Natural History, Lincoln Center, Central Park, etc. There are very good restaurants and shopping areas in the vicinity. It is an efficient, no frills hotel because it does not have breakfast or food service. However, since the neighborhood has... More

A treasure of a boutique on the UWS, within sight of the Museum of Natural History, easily accessible to subway lines and the 79th Street Crosstown bus. A little warm on lower floors, but a treasure. Staff helpful and charming!

Location cannot be beat. Service is unobtrusive and building (which used to be an apartment building) does not look like a hotel, so it's discrete. I liked that. The value is outrageous. Prices are fantastic and what you get is far better than you'd expect. I will stay here again. I've stayed with private bath and without: both are comfortable... More

I had an unexpected business trip and was pleasantly surprised to find such a wonderfully located and quiet hotel. The doorman, front desk staff and housekeeping were all so helpful and professional. There were restaurants located nearby and Central Park was so close.

Rooms are really small, which is fine considering the location. Water in the shower took forever to heat up and the water pressure was not great. The hallways are all hard surfaces, so anyone doing anything near your room is really loud. I probably won't go back, but for what I needed for that night (location and a reasonable price)... More

This is a charming, attractive boutique hotel on the upper west side of New York city! The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The staff are excellent and very friendly and helpful. We especially appreciated being able to store our bags on the day we checked out since we had a late afternoon flight. The location is very near... More

I stay at Park79 whenever I visit a client located on the Upper West Side. Hotel is impeccably clean and the staff very polite. I have always stayed in at least a Queen Bed room. As a bonus I was upgraded to a Junior Suite during this stay! Subway is close and I was able to call for a ride... More

My wife and I have stayed at Park 79 annually in December for at least 10 years. It is always comfortable, reliable and affordable (for NYC). Centrally located on the Upper West Side, it's right across the street from the Museum of Natural History and a short walk to Central Park and numerous great restaurants. Even the Lincoln Center is... More

For the price you can't go wrong with this hotel. The location is amazing, there is parking garages close by or you can find a spot on the street close to the hotel to save some cash. The staff is amazing, friendly and helpful. The size of the rooms are great for NYC and what you're paying. It can get... More

I stayed here one night while visiting the Museum of Natural History for research purposes. It was a short walk from the museum and had several good restaurants nearby. The hotel itself was small with a Victorian feel to its architecture. My room was comprised of two smaller rooms with a connecting hallways and bathroom. One room had a full... More
