Good quiet location in NYC, very good desk clerk fellow. The two single beds were comfortable but very small room. If you are obese the rest room will be to small. The shower was smaller than on the ship I had just been on.

My fiancé and I stayed at this hotel in March. The room we stayed in was extremely cramped, but that is to be expected and was acceptable given the relatively (not extremely) cheap price that we paid. It was still not the quality of room I would have expected for the money paid. Unfortunately however, we suffered a significant ant... More

Room was very, very small, with an exposed hanging rack for garments and little in the way of horizontal surfaces on which to place luggage & other items. Bathroom was tiny and entry into & out of shower stall was an exercise in contortion. Bed was sloppily made up with a layer of foam on top of the mattress.

i booked two rooms here for a wedding to be held at the museum of Natural history. Proximity was an issue due to the advanced age of one of the party. I booked through easytobook.com three months in advance and received a confirmation immediately. About 2 hrs before my intended arrival at 3:00pm for a 6:00pm wedding, I received a... More

I opted for the single room, with shared bathroom facilities, and this was perfect for what I wanted - i.e. a room where I could sleep in between my hectic sight-seeing schedule! The location is a bit further north than where the 'action' is in NYC, but there is a subway stop one block away from the hotel, so the... More

I liked the neighbourhood, because it is calm but very central, so anything but boring. Also next to central park. You get a real living in new york experience here! The service was perfect, and the bathroom/toilet I had to share wasn't a problem as it was clean, luxurious and not occupied a single time when I entered.

Visited NYC for my brothers 40th and needed somewhere close by to him. Park 79 was in perfect location, and a great place to be based. Highly recommended for solo travelers as the room and bathroom are great for 1. Check in was a little slow as I had to wait for reception staff to come off break, but this... More

The room is really small. Does not have even a chair to sit on. Otherwise comfortable. Shared bathroom was very clean. The hotel has good deli shops all around which open at 7.00 am for breakfast and meals.

Lovely traditional older NY hotel with great staff, location, and prices. Located on the Upper West Side, a few steps from Central Park, subways, restaurants, and anything else you might want. New York is a walking town, so enjoy!
