I've stayed at this hotel a couple of times, and always enjoy my stay. It is perfectly located next to the park and major subway lines, great restaurants, museums. You can't ask for more. Rooms are a little small, as are the bathrooms, but if you are coming to New York to hang out in your hotel room, then don't... More

Front desk rude. Room air quality stuffy, no air flow. Could open window with help of maintenance worker but NO SCREENS ( 5 th floor!). Walls so thin could hear neighbors talking until 2 am. No runner rug in hallway so people walking by at all hours was loud. Positive note..very clean

My wife 17 year old son and I had the experience of staying last week at the Park 79 Hotel. First let me say that the staff was great! The rooms were rather small, and we probably had one of the largest rooms in the hotel. I think that the deal killer was the lack of climate control or rather... More

Our three days in NYC were quite enjoyable despite the chill and rainy disposition of most of our time there. We relished some of the highlights of the city and became a bit more familiar with how to navigate since we were plebes to the Big Apple before this visit. Our appetites are wet for future trips to RCMH, top... More

Each time the room gets bigger, don't know if it is management policy, but the gesture is much appreciated! Even the bathroom was large enough to turn around in this time. Aside from the premium on space, this is a beautiful hotel with helpful front desk and attractive lobby (though no amenities except for instant coffee in the morning). The... More

Great neighborhood. Near Central Park, museums, and great restaurants. Very walkable part of town. The room was decently sized and not too expensive. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only drawback was the elevator. The bldg only has one and it is small and slow. Other than that, i thought the place was very good.

Located at Upper West, just a block from Central Park. This neighbourhood is my favourite place to stay when in New York. Lots of nice pubs and places to eat, and not as crowded with tourists as many other places in the city. It's close to both the red and blue subway lines, so it's easy to get anywhere in... More

Price was okay (for New York), location was terrific. The walls are thin (our neighbours were fairly quiet but we could hear them pretty clearly) and the hot water was inconsistent in the morning. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's the second time I've stayed there and I would go back again.

Very clean, comfortable and very attractive boutique hotel in a prime area on the upper west side. Close to the park and and if you walk straight across the park, in 15 very pleasant minutes you come to 5th avenue and the Metropolitan Museum, one of the greatest art museums in the world. Quite inexpensive because the rooms are small.... More

Staff was great. Room was small but ample for my needs. No complaints. I like this location's proximity to excellent restaurant, particularly Burk & Wills. Lesson learned - NYC parking distance to fire hydrant is 14 ft. Got tagged twice ($115 x 2) because I was in a meeting.
