This is a cute boutique hotel offering easy access to so many places of interest in Manhattan. A friend and I were visiting NYC for a combination of work and sightseeing. It was easy to get to the subway, Central Park, restaurants, and Museums from Park 79. The people at the desk were friendly, and attended the desk 24/7. We... More

This hotel is really small, The lobby was dirty and the desk staff seemed to always be disgruntled. I stayed in a junior suite, room 418. When we got there the room was somewhere around 10 degrees or so, I called the front desk and asked what was up, he said the heat was out. Each room is equipped with... More

What an amazing place to stay - making you feel as if you have your own apartment in NYC! When I travel, I like to have a feel of the city, not stay in a cookie-cutter hotel that from the inside has no element of the city you are visiting. My daughter and I went to the city for a... More

Stayed at the Park 79 in a deluxe king room - accommodations and service were perfect. Front desk staff and doormen were personable, welcoming and helpful. Room was comfortable - not huge, but plenty of room for the two of us. Shower takes a minute or two to warm up, but so does my shower at home, lol. All that... More

We stayed for three days and enjoyed being near several metro stops and the Museum of Natural History - easy bus access across the park to Metropolitan Museum of Art and easy transportation via subway to just about anywhere. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean - we had a junior suite. The room was tiny... More

Very nice hotel. Will stay again. Beds comfy. Very quiet. Close to subway entrances. Clean. Bathroom in room was very nice with amenities. Close to great restaurants, museum, Lincoln Center and shops. It was really cold outside when we stayed, but our room was very comfortable. It is a gem in the heart of NYC.

When I called to see when check-in was the man was rude and could not answer any of my questions, he did not seem to understand me. After I got checked in I had to cram my two small bags into a claustrophobic elevator. Once in my room tiny room I realized I could hear just about everything outside the... More

I highly recommend this hotel. It certainly has a personal touch that, from own experience, chain hotels cannot match. I searched on the internet at the airport and got a fantastic rate! The rooms are clean and at home feeling. If you want that feeling of New Yorker, stay at Park 79!

We wanted to walk easily & grab subways & never need a taxi. This felt like a little home neighborhood in the city with nearby coffee shops, restaurants, toys store, museums, & weekend farmer's market. Room/small suite was comfortable, restful, & clean. Just what we needed & we didn't pay for more. Upper Westside was perfect for us.

I stayed at Park 79 for two nights in late December. As others on this site have mentioned, there's a feeling of old-world charm. The staff were professional, friendly and helpful. My room was small, but clean and well appointed. The location is perfect. On a quiet street, within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, museums, subway lines, and Central... More

Dear Molly: Thank you for your fine review of your recent stay at Park 79 Hotel--seems it was a great getaway from Connecticut. We are pleased your stay was enjoyable, our staff showed you their best, and your neighborhood choice is indeed a good one.
