I chose this as it was one of the best priced 4* hotels available with a decent location and a bit of style. Only a few blocks walk from Time Square, the shops and bars/restaurants of Hell's Kitchen are even closer. 5 minutes walk from 42nd Street Metro (A,C,E lines). Rooms were nicely done, small but that's what you expect... More

Really enjoyed our stay here...and as other posts have said the spa acts as a real little oasis within the city..... and is spotless. Excellent location as a base to explore all the different areas of the city. All the staff are friendly and eager to help and they booked us a great car (same price as cab) to get... More

Amazing experience all around. The place is stunning and overall provides a great overlook of NY. Brought here a couple of friends and we all really enjoyed the place. not the easiest to find. But you will be thrilled of the location in the end.

The hotel is no longer a trendy spot. The receptionists have a bit of a NY attitude and at first contact it will wish you had chosen a different hotel. Most rooms on 2rd and 3rd floors are facing an inward "courtyard" of sorts - that's most likely where you'll end up. And when you do, you'll feel like you're... More

This hotel has a great location, a friendly staff, and it's cool and trendy. Perfect for anyone looking for those particulars. Being "straight-friendly" though, the hotel balances on an edge, but manage well enough. Main thing was that everyone (the staff) was helpfull and friendly.

Highly recommended. I've stayed at The Hudson , The Paramount and The Dream Downtown. The rooms at The Out will not disappoint, we did have a suite but it looked like most rooms were a similar size. Huge comfy bed, large bathroom and all modern and fresh. The hotel has a friendly resort feel to it as all rooms face... More

The Out is a great hotel. The staff had a wonderful attention to detail. I called ahead to confirm some things and told them that it was my friend's birthday weekend; they had a little cake and bottle of Prosecco with a lovely note in the room when we checked in. This was a girl's weekend, though we are not... More

Good hotel, somewhat tacky and stereotyped, but with a great value for money. I stayed at the "budget" room which is sort of a hostel approach to a 5 star hotel. Very nicely done and put together, but the place was not the cleanest place on earth. But even the budget room had access to the Spa. The food at... More

The location is nice. Close to hell's kitchen area and also time square. The hotel is nice and also the staff is helpful and friendy. Unfortunately during the first night my room was over the 24h gym and it was impossible sleeping. The day after the staff changed me the room. The room are clean and well fornished with taste... Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
