This hotel is aimed at the gay community. My travel agent booked it and we had no idea it was of this nature. Some of the party I was with revealed some 'concerns' before we arrived but 24 hours after checking in everyone had relaxed and reaised they were 'just in another hotel'. The location is amazing. I ran the... More

30 years of travel. Much in NYC. This is a dream. Sauna, steam, whirlpool. GREAT outdoor space. Staff is great from Vanessa at the front desk to G (yep that is his name) at the restaurant. Rate was cheap and upgraded, but I would stay at full rate. It is like a dream come true. Cons: Some kids partied early... More

Likes: Location was great - close to many restaurants and diners; and the receptionist was very friendly, and the hotel has a jacuzzi and fitness centre. The queen sized bed was comfortable, and the washroom was clean. It has a mini-fridge, and a well-stocked mini-bar. They will bring you ice when requested! The room has good design feature and it... Having already booked into different accommodation (which turned out to be unsatisfactory) I found out about OUT Hotel online and turned up at the desk, hoping they would have room for me and my friend. A lovely lady (Bebe) found me two great rooms and matched the online price I had found. The rooms were extremely comfortable with big beds... More

I came back to the OUT NYC due to the fact they took great care of me as a female traveller alone in NYC. They were so great i insisted that my boyfriend and I stay in the great double bedrooms for the Thanks Giving holidays. The hotel was quiet due to the amount of people probably out of town... More

We've move to this hotel having extended our stay in New York and what a great find it was. We really loved the room, but the indoors patio/jacuzzi take the cake. The interior design is great as well and so is the service. It's great to see a place that doesn't try to squeeze in a room onto every square... More

It's a gay friendly hotel with steam rooms and saunas, so it can feel a little seedy at times. The rooms look out onto a raised courtyard and the only window you have, people are walking past constantly, so privacy is limited. The rooms are beautiful but dark. The music from the club in the basement can be heard in... More

The room was on the small side yet comfortable. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Both my friend and I had very good nights sleeping, which is not always the case. The bathroom was immaculate. I look in corners, drawers, etc., not one complaint! Cleaner than my bathroom! Staff very friendly , courteous, helpful. Good location. I walked to the Hudson... More

I have stayed at The Out NYC for the Governor's Ball Festival two years in a row. The first year, I stayed in the shared Quad room. It was a fantastic deal for the amenities - I was simply looking for a room to crash after a long day at the festival, and didn't want to spend a ton of... More

I booked a stay here via Hotels.com for a 2-night business stay. It's important to note I had to use a telephone agent to book as there were issues with their website for this property at the time. I thought I was about to check-in to a 1-bedroom single, but upon arriving was told my reservation was for a shared... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
