I work in the airline industry, and have stayed in this hotel, as well as several others in the JFK area, frequently. I'll be the first to admit that this place is a little rough around the edges, which reflects in many of the other reviews posted on this site-- but if you're staying at JFK, lower your expectations going... more

Unbelievable!!! after missing our connection to Milan, we booked this hotel for just one night at the reservation point at terminal 3 in JFK (paying in advance 260 USD) when eventually the hotel shuttle took us to the hotel, they told us that they were sold out, and they could do nothing about that, since it was not their fault,... more

My daughter and I, after a long trip between GRU and JFK, lost the connection flight to Toronto and stayed a night in this hotel. Comfortable, non smoking room and clean bathroom. And, near the hotel, a good chinese restaurant with an excellent fried rice dish but be careful because accept only cash. more

This hotel was ideal for what we used it as...a park and stay hotel. We were flying out of JFK internationally for an 8:15 flight and live several hours away. We arrived the night before our flight at around 11 pm. Check in was easy and we were given our warm cookie. Parking under the hotel was extremely easy and... more

This place is a dead zone and should loose its flag. Complete opposite of Conrad Hilton's dream to fill the world with the light and warmth of hospitality. The only thing keeping this hotel alive is the close proximity to the airport. When the guest has to guide the front desk agent through the check in process that is a... more

I have traveled all over the world and the best thing I can say about this place is that it is close to JFK. I will start with the remote and television in the room that did not work, I called when I discovered the problem, and nothing was even done about it, the next day I stopped at the... more

I've stayed at this hotel three times and will always pick it when I need a hotel near JFK. The ground transportation is free and convenient. The hotel is spotless. You get a nice warm cookie when you check in. There is a very nice, fully equipped gym and the rooms are a good size, with free wi-fi. The bar... more

The hotel itself was clean and comfortable with a friendly staff. However, our room faced the busy Van Wyck Expressway and the noise was incredible. I awoke several times to the sound of truck trailers "booming" as they bounced over the concrete. The location is extremely convenient to JFK airport, but ask for a room facing AWAY from the Expressway. more

A few observations: 1. Heater was so loud, I couldn't sleep. I live next to a busy highway and used to live on a bus route, so this is saying a lot. 2. Toilet only flushed properly about one out of every five times. 3. It looked like they had stuffed tissues from an old box into a new box.... more

I am a Airline Employee and I Travel for a Living. First of all, Bring you own Hair Dryer. Lets start with the Staff...not very Friendly to say the least. The hotel appears to have been recently renovated however they should have included the Personnel (if that is even possible). By the way is this a REAL Doubletree Hotel??? Ok,... more
